2013 PPIHC Video Distribution Memo Date: 06/17/13 To: All Competitors and/or Licensees Windstar Studios, Inc. is working with PPIHC to collect and distribute video assets of the race. The race is being covered with five cameras: starting line, two mid-­‐mountain, finish line and helicopter. Ground Cameras Ground cameras, located at start, summit and mid-­‐mountain, will be shooting for the live stream will also be recorded in-­‐camera. Those video assets will also be made available post-­‐race. In-­‐Car Cameras Many competitors equip their vehicle with in-­‐car cameras. This has become a vital asset in the coverage of the race, and is a great opportunity to expand visibility for your sponsors and your team. PPIHC would like to have the footage for our asset collection and to assist with creating highlight shows of the race. Windstar will provide a transfer system at the summit and will copy in-­‐car video for selected participants for distribution to international and domestic broadcast partners. If you would like a list of broadcast partners that the video could be distributed to (outside of PPIHC internal use), please contact PPIHC directly. Helicopter Footage Helicopter footage will be made available after the race to those who have not previously arranged for the footage. If you are interested in purchasing some scenic shots, please contact PPIHC directly. Please note that no footage will be transferred or downloaded without permission from PPIHC. Please see attached rate card. Pikes Peak International Hill Climb Video Distribution Rate Card Video Transfer Information Digital video files can be delivered via hard drive or Internet. Minimum 48 hours for delivery. Rush rates available per request. Transfer rates do not apply for those who have licensed helicopter footage with PPIHC. Helicopter licensees will also receive all aerial scenic footage. Payment must be made prior to footage delivery. Payment may be made by credit card or check. Footage compression or conversion will be quoted per request. Hard Drive shipping will be billed at cost plus $10 handling fee. Rates $3.50 per minute – footage transfer rate $125.00 minimum charge (includes FTP link or hard drive formatting) File Format All files will be transferred in the file format in which they are recorded. You must designate whether you need a Mac or PC formatted drive. If you want to provide your own drive, the drive must be empty, as all items on the drive will be erased when the footage is transferred over. FTP / Internet delivery Windstar can provide a link or deliver to a designated site. Transfer time can vary based on Internet speeds.
