Exchange Program
Joint Symposium
International Week
Chuo University takes an active part in a wide range
of programs encouraging the exchange of students
and researchers with education and research
institutions in other countries. The International
Center supports and funds international exchange
activities carried out by faculties, graduate schools,
and research institutes.
The first Global Chuo Symposium was held in
Bangkok in May 2013 as a milestone for globalizing
Chuo. We discussed "International Environmental
Issues with a Focus on Thailand" with cooperation of
Thammasat University, Chulalongkorn University,
and many other public or private organisations. In
addition, “Symposium on Global WaterEnvironmental Engineering Study in Bangkok” was
held in Kasetsart University in November 2013.
Focusing on disaster prevention and disaster
reduction, this symposium offered a significant
opportunity for information exchange between the
two countries, as well as possibilities for research
exchange and technical cooperation in the field of
water environment, including future joint projects.
Thailand was one of the countries selected as the
theme of the 5th International Week 2013 held at
Chuo University. The event commemorated the
40th anniversary of friendly cooperative relations
between ASEAN and Japan.
