A MUM from Cirencester is
organising a fundraising
event for charity later this
month.
Dominique Danhieux is
organising a Butterfly Tea
Party and Shopping Event at
La Attica in Cirencester on
June 29.
Funds from the day will go
to children charity Together
for Short Lives.
Dominique, who has a
15-month old daughter, said:
“You never know when
something might happen to
your children. It’s a parent’s
worst nightmare.”
Donations for the tombola
are still welcome. To donate,

PENSIONERS in Bishop’s
Cleeve are being invited to
the village’s seniors club.
Events for people in their
60s and older will be held at
Denley Hall, in Churchfields,
Bishop’s Cleeve.
Afternoon talks are held
every Wednesday from 2pm,
with tai chi classes every
Tuesday at 2pm.
With more than 300
members, the club has other
activities including a
walking group.
Grab yourself a
bargain dress
at Motor Show
FASHIONISTAS can get
their hands on designer
clothes at bargain prices at
the Gloucestershire Motor
Show next weekend.
Volunteers will take to a
catwalk at 2.30pm each day
to show off the frocks.
Gloucestershire Motor
Show takes place at Highnam Court from 10.30am to
5pm on Saturday and
Sunday, with all money
raised going to Gloucestershire children’s charity
Pied Piper.
Wendy Fabian, from the
charity, said: “It’s very popular and we have dresses
worth £400 on sale for £10.
“This is our biggest fundraiser of the year and we
hope to raise £40,000.”
This year’s show looks
set to be just as successful
as previous events, with
classic cars, sports car
rides, a World Cup penalty

shoot-out and local ales.
Phil Vickery will be supporting the event with
cookery demonstrations,
along with Pied Piper patron Fiona Fullerton.
Highnam Court was
built in 1658, after the original house was damaged
in the Civil War and is one
of the few houses built during the Commonwealth
period.
The Court is not open to
the public during the show
but its beautiful gardens
and parklands are open to
all
visitors
to
the
Gloucestershire
Motor
Show free of charge.
Motor Dealerships from
across
Gloucestershire
will be displaying all their
latest models in Highnam’s
extensive parkland.
A FAMILY FUN DAY OUT
While the golden age of
motoring will be represented with a magnificent collection of classic and
vintage cars, including
Rolls-Royces and Bentleys
from the 1920s onwards,
the Ferrari Club, some
awesome Bugatti Racing
cars and very many more.
The event, backed by the
Echo,
will
showcase
around 150 classic cars and
modern vehicles such as
BMWs,
Ferraris
and
Porsches. Sponsors include
Malvern Tyres, Cream
hairdressing,
Harrison
Clark
Rickerbys,
Renishaw,
Hazlewoods,
Handlesbanken,
Brunsdons and Brewin Dolphin,
with every penny raised going to Pied Piper.
