Gemstones, jewels or crystals come in all shapes and
sizes. Most have been revered for thousands of years
for their beauty and for their attributed properties and
metaphysical powers.
The same gem can occur in several forms or colours
(agate exists naturally in over 150 colours), or be known
by several names (i.e. basalt or lava beds). Cutting and
polishing gemstones changes their appearance and is
common for jewellery use. We use gems in both their
raw-cut and polished state, both are equally as beautiful
and effective.
We select our gemstones and charms for their instrinsic
properties of protection and empowerment or to
generally aid the wearer’s wellbeing. We believe that
their subtle vibrations affect ones physical, emotional,
mental, psychological, and spiritual levels of wellbeing.
They can also be used for healing or enhancing ones
environment.
With so many crystals and stones to choose from, it
can be difficult to know which one is ’right” and that is
why we combine our gemstones to provide maximum
powers and protection. However, if you are wondering
why you are drawn to a particular stone or are looking
for one to assist with a specific physical, emotional,
mental, psychological, or spiritual problem, we have
listed the attributes of those we use.
The following is a summary collection of commonly
held views on the ‘intrinsic’ or metaphysical powers
and attributes of the gemstones and the charms SIC
commonly uses.
There are many views around the world but ultimately
the wearer will find their own truth. This “Stone Bible”
is our view of the powers inherent in the gems and

How to care for and
get the most from
your jewels.
Selection
Gemstones provide subtle vibrations. Attraction is the
key word. Choose a gemstone for the attraction you feel
or want another person to experience. Universal (or
past) consciousness will lead you to the gemstone that
is right for you or the occasion.
Dedication
We recommend that you hold and acknowledge the
gemstone(s), understanding they are worn for good and
empowerment.
Cleansing
Stones are influenced by many energies before reaching
you. We recommend that you cleanse your stones by
holding them in your receptive hand. This removes
past energies and influences and readies the crystal(s)
for your use. Cleansing has worked when the vibrations
feel healthy and regular.
Wearing your gemstones in the sunlight is a great way
to clean them as we do not recommend traditional
cleansing such as water or salt water baths. This can
damage (or rust) the metal wire and jewellery findings
we use.
Charging
Charge your stones by placing them in direct sunlight
or moonlight. Those days that are associated with
summer and winters solstices, equinox, the full moon
and new moon, are particularly auspicious.
Super Tip
Leave your gemstones out for 24hours in direct sunlight
and moonlight - they will be fully cleansed by the sun
and then fully charged by moonlight.
Programming
You can programme your crystals to bring their
powerful attributes into your life. Hold your crystals,
close your eyes and visualize what you need from
them. Repeating this process frequently will attract the
energies you are seeking.
