JOB QUALIFICATIONS
TO JOIN OUR TEAM (for entry level or management positions)

Applicants must be 21 years or older
Be able to speak, read and write English, fluently
Be able to obtain a valid passport and United States C1/D visa
Be willing to commit to at least a 6 month or 8 months on 2
months off schedule
Be able to work with a diverse international crew
Have related experience for the job applied
Be flexible with your work schedule, job duties and job locations
Be willing to share a cabin
Be willing to work 7 days and up to a possible 70 hour work
week
Appreciate diversity among guests and crew
Selection Process

• You have been selected as Crème of the
Crème – That’s YOU!
• Interview with an RCL Global Shipboard
Recruiter
IF YOU ARE CONTRACTED
• You will be financially responsible for obtaining the
following items:
• A valid passport (with expirations within contract)
• C1/D Seaman’s Visa (If hired, we will provide you with
the documents to obtain one)
• Flight to join the ship in your assigned port of call
• Your uniform (which you may pay for after you receive
your first paycheck)
• Obtain a Criminal Background check
• Have a pre-employment Medical, including a drug test
• Any necessary certifications for your job ( Degrees,
CPR, First Aid, etc.)
WHEN WILL I EMBARK?
• Depends on our ship’s need: skills, position,
languages you speak, itinerary/location
PROCESS OF SHIP
ASSIGNMENT
Your Hiring Partner will contact you
immediately with an assignment once
requested by RCL Headquarters office.
You must reply within 24 hours accepting
or declining the offer.
NEXT STEP
• RCL’s Medical Forms A&B completed
to its entirety by a medical facility –
Cost varies from country to country.
• Your H.P. can provide you with the best
available doctor and the cost involved.
NEXT STEP
• Make appointment with United States
Embassy for a C1D Visa
• Present RCL’s Letter of Employment to
Embassy along with your valid passport.
• CID Visa cost is approx. $131.00 U.S.
Dollars. If Visa – C1D is approved by U.S.
Embassy, it must be valid for one year from
date of travel.
