A night to remember
Over the past 35 years Boatel Party Cruises have built
up an unrivalled reputation for party cruises.
Your evening will be hosted by our resident DJ and
Compere, who is there to ensure you and your guests
have a night to remember! The fun begins the
moment you step on board, with party games, our
infamous ‘Skippers Pot’ and top music from our
state-of-the-art sound and light equipment.
Whatever the occasion, wether it be a 21st - 80th
birthday celebration, hen night, office party or just a
get together with friends we will transform your
occasion into a truly memorable celebration.
The Royal Sovereign is a wide beam barge (not a
narrowboat) and is licensed to carry 70 passengers however we limit the maximum to 60 to give more
comfort to our guests.
Unique, exciting, flexible!
If there is not enough of you to book the whole
boat, don’t worry, you can join one of our regular
public party nights held throughout the year contact the office for dates.
For ideas on theme nights please refer to the Cruise
Medley, if you can’t see what you’re looking for, it
doesn’t mean we can’t organise it.
We are one of the only cruise venues in the north
with a dedicated dance floor.
Private Functions
The Royal Sovereign can also be chartered for private
functions which can be tailored to suit your
individual requirements. The atmosphere will be
more exclusive with a wider choice of menus. You
can enjoy an evening of non stop entertainment or a
more leisurely scenic luncheon cruise. The choice is
yours!
Afternoon or Evening Cruises
Mouth-watering menus
We offer a mouth-watering selection of seasonal
menus prepared with fresh ingredients to satisfy
those with the heartiest of appetites.
You may, however, just wish to sit and relax with
friends on a cruise through the idyllic Lancashire
countryside. The landscaped locks are particularly
picturesque providing the perfect setting for those
who want a tranquil cruise.
Fully stocked bar
There is naturally a fully-stocked bar on board, open
throughout the cruise with draught and bottled
beers, spirits, cheap drinks promotions and a
comprehensive selection of wines.

Under the new ownership of former members of
crew (with combined experience at Boatel of more
than 30 years) we have completely refurbished The
Royal Sovereign and invite new and former
customers to come along and enjoy the changes.
If you have any special requests or wish to view the
boat, we will be pleased to arrange a mutually
convenient time for you to come aboard, have a look
around and discuss your particular requirements.
