WRWSD MEETNG - Sat., July 9, 2011
President Ron Gloss called the meeting to order at 9:30 a.m.
Roll Call: Present: Doughman, Gloss, Kirk, Purdin, Rider and Mgr. Cahall
Absent: Buskey (ex.) and Redick (ex.)
Minutes: The minutes of the June 11th WRWSD meeting were read. A motion to approve the minutes was
made by Doughman, seconded by Rider and passed unanimously.
President’s Report: Pres. Gloss shared that since a workshop meeting was not held on the last Monday in
June at 7 p.m. there is little business to be conducted during this meeting. However, Gloss did present and
explain Resolution No. 2011-02 which provides for the disposal of real property, Lot #3505, which is no
longer necessary or needed for the operation of the WRWSD. Lot #3505 was inherited by the WRWSD
through a lawsuit several years ago. Legal counsel has determined that this lot is not certified to be marketable or free from liens and encumbrances and has nominal value because it does not have a clear title. The
WRWSD has no need for this property, but cannot give it away because the Ohio Revised Code prohibits this
action. However, the lot may be transferred to a buyer by a quit claim deed which would allow the holder
of this deed access to the Lake and its amenities. Management will be directed to attempt to sell Lot #3505.
(See Motions and Resolutions below.)
Treasurer’s Report: Gloss noted that the June financial report is attached to the WRWSD meeting agenda.
Treasurer Buskey will be available for questions later in the month.
Manager’s Report (Paul Cahall): The yard reclamation has been completed. However, if property owners are unhappy with the work done in their yards or if a property owner has not yet requested work be done,
contact the Manager immediately. The water meter readings improved over last month. Now only forty
meters cannot be read by driving by. It is believed that the problem with these meters is because they either
have metal lids or they are too deep in the ground. The Manager is currently negotiating with Utility Service
and Supply, Inc. over who is responsible to provide the materials needed to correct the remaining problems
as well as the cost of those materials. Caps/plugs will be inserted in the holes of the lids of all meters that
can be read by driving by.
Motions and Resolutions: Resolution #2011-02 was made by Gloss and seconded by Doughman to dispose
of the real property, Lot #3505, which is no longer necessary or needed for the operation of the WRSWD.
The vote was taken and the motion passed with six yea votes (Buskey by proxy).
Other Business: none
Membership Concerns: none
Adjournment: The motion to adjourn was made by Doughman and seconded by Rider. All were in favor
and the meeting was adjourned at 9:49 a.m.
Respectfully submitted,
Joanne A. Coker, WRWSD Assistant Recording Secretary

items should never be put in your system:
*Egg shells *Fish scales *Cat litter
*Diapers, baby wipes, socks, rags or

*Personal hygiene products *Oils or grease
*Strong chemicals (drain cleaner)
*Glass or metal objects.
If the above items are introduced into the system it could
result in premature failure of the pump and require service.
If the red light on the electric box is on it means the pump
is not working properly. Please call Security if you see your
light or your neighbors light on. Security will dispatch our

Manager’s Message
I would like to ask for the Lake Waynoka membership’s help on a couple of items. This summer
we have had some senseless acts of vandalism that cost us all money that could be used for other
things. If you have any information on the examples listed below or see anything else going on
please contact security. Don’t let the actions of a few ruin it for everyone else.
1. Removal of street signs
2. Damage to Beach house plumbing
3. Removal of sink in campground bathroom
4. Breaking of fencing and turning donuts in rec area parking lots
5. Breaking of seats on picnic tables at beach pavilion.
Also if you have a camper in the campground, please remember to turn off all your electrical
equipment when you are not here. One of the largest expenses we have in operating the campground is utilities and keeping that cost down keeps your nightly rate down.
Thank you, Paul Cahall, General Manager

Waynoka News - 13
Golf News & Notes
Four more weeks gone and the League is surviving
either a wet course or devastating heat. In spite of Mother
Nature, 18 players shot one or more pars with the leaders
being Jim Hackworth (11), and Tom Wyatt (10). George
Kinney hit a “line drive” chip shot that hit the flag stick
and dropped into the hole for a Par 3 on Hole #5. (It
looked good on paper, folks!) Birdies were enjoyed by Jim
Bridges on the Par 4 Hole #12, and Ron Gloss on the Par
4 Hole #16. Great shooting everybody.
The low gross score for men was shot by both Jim
Hackworth and Tom Wyatt (42). Low gross score for
women was shot by Mary Kay Wolfe (56) and Tillie
Doughman (57). Yea!
Seen on the course: On her second shot, Marilyn
Gloss aimed for and hit the bridge over the creek on Hole
#4, bounced the ball on the left railing then to the right
railing, then onto the floor of the bridge twice, finally
stopping on the other side of the bridge. Top that, golfers!
Heard on the course: “A ball that is findable and hittable is a mighty good shot” was a quote from Paul
Cahall. According to Paul he had a lot of mighty good
shots (by his very own definition) …. and we on the
league agree with his philosophy.
The Golf League team standings can be viewed on the
new Lake Waynoka web site. Go to www.lakewaynoka.
com and click on Clubs and then on Golf League. There
you will find our Rules, Teams, Schedule and Standings.

Oh, what a beautiful day it was!
It was hot! It was humid! It was crowded! IT WAS AWESOME!
The Annual Picnic and Fishing Outing sponsored by the Shawnee Squaws on Friday, June 10th for the veterans from the VA
Home in Georgetown and Lake Waynoka veterans was all of these things and so much more! Everyone who attended felt so
blessed to be an American and so thankful for the men and women who have served and sacrificed to keep us free!
There are many individuals who deserve a special thank you for their participation in this wonderful day:
Thank you, Shawnee Squaws for providing and serving the delicious dishes which everyone enjoyed until they could eat no
more! Thank you, spouses of the Shawnee Squaws for pitching in and doing everything from erecting tents to hanging
decorations to grilling the meats to baiting fishing poles. And a special thank you goes to Tom Wyatt, our master griller!
Thank you, Shawnee Squaws who provided gifts for the raffle for the vets from Georgetown. And a special thank you goes to
Squaw Ruth Horner for her donation which was used to purchase gift certificates for the gift shop at the Veterans’ Home.
Thank you, Mgr. Paul Cahall and the ‘Men of Maintenance’ at Lake Waynoka for building a handicap ramp into the bath house
restrooms. The veterans enjoyed the smooth ride up the ramp and their caregivers were thrilled with how easy it was to provide
that ride! Thank you, Friends at the Mt. Orab Kroger’s for donating a $25 gift card which was used to purchase the buns and
meats. Thank you, Doris Kitchen of ReMax for your donation of $40 which was also used to purchase the buns and meats.
Thank you, Jim and James Evans of the Lake Waynoka Marina for providing the many bags of ice to cool our drinks on such a
warm day as well as for providing the bait that was consumed by the many fishes that were biting after the early morning
showers. And lastly, thank you, Ladies on the 2011 Veterans’ Picnic Committee: Liz Beresford, Eileen Brown, Diana DeVol,
Linda Garfield, Lynn Prewitt, and Mary Kay Wolfe for being the capable women you are! You always volunteered to do
whatever was needed! You always did what you said you would do! You were a super team working for a cause in which we all
believe so strongly!
Yes, it was hot! Yes, it was humid! Yes, it was crowded! And YES, IT WAS A TRULY AWESOME DAY! It was an awesome
day because so many wonderful people worked so hard to show their appreciation of the veterans of the United States of
America!
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

Disasters have a good chance of occurring when your
family is not gathered together. The children may be at
school. You may be at work, the shopping center, or any
other place. To prepare for those possible separations, take a
few minutes and develop a reunion plan. This plan will help
you get back together, or if it is not possible, to let each other
know you are okay.
Choose one place near your home in case of a sudden
emergency, such as fire: ____________________________
Choose at least 2-3 places outside your neighborhood in
case you cannot return home. Possibilities include neighbor’s,
friends, or relative’s homes, local schools, churches, parks, or
community centers. If you arrive home and no one is there, it
will give you some places to start looking. 1. ______________
2. ____________________ 3. ______________________
Choose someone who lives at least 100 miles away who can
be contacted by all family members if it becomes impossible
to reach the reunion locations. You can report to them where
and how you are and learn where other family members
are as well. Be sure each family member carries the contact
person’s name and phone number with them.
