3 – 4. AIRBAGS. The MINI Hardtop and the MINI Clubman come standard with six airbags. Driver and front-passenger airbags
help protect the head and upper body in the event of a head-on collision; side and head airbags are primarily designed to help
reduce the risk of injuries to the head, chest and abdominal areas from side impacts. The MINI Convertible comes standard with
four airbags. Airbags may not deploy simultaneously.

1 – 2. Rigid Body Structure. The bodies of all MINI models have been reinforced at strategic points, maintaining rigidity
while providing a sizeable interior. These features help deliver the perfect combination of comfort, acoustics and protection.

5. RESTRAINT SYSTEM. A combination of 3 -point seat
belts, pre-tensioners and integrated belt catchers means the
driver and front-seat passenger can feel secure in the event
of a collision. To ensure an extra margin of safety for younger
passengers, up to two LATCH child seats can be mounted in
the rear.
6. SECURITY, EVEN WHEN THERE’S NO ROOF. Made
of high-strength aluminium, the active roll-over bar ensures
optimum protection for all occupants. Normally it is retracted
behind the rear headrests, blending seamlessly into the
lines of the MINI Convertible, but in an emergency, it deploys
upwards in approximately 1 5 0 milliseconds.
1. DYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL (DSC) AND DYNAMIC TRACTION CONTROL (DTC). Fitted as standard, DSC counteracts loss
of grip by intervening in the engine management and applying braking force to individual wheels at front and rear as necessary.
DSC also includes hill assist. The optional DTC with Electronic Differential Lock Control (EDLC) gives drivers the option to make
more of the car’s natural handling, by delaying interventions in engine management and braking until the last possible moment.
Should the inner wheel lose too much traction, EDLC will apply braking to it, ensuring the car maintains forward momentum
through corners and on surfaces with variable levels of grip. At the same time, it enables more torque to be applied to the outer
wheel. Braking interventions on the rear axle also help the car to hold its line when cornering.
3. Rack-and-pinion steering. Electric power assist ensures
nimble steering response, with the driver receiving precise and
involving feedback. The stiffness of the steering wheel adjusts
to the speed of the car, for easier maneuverability at low speeds
and smoother direction changes when traveling faster. For
maximum comfort, it is only 4 .񂤙 turns from full lock to full lock.
4. Suspension. The combination of a MacPherson-strut
front axle and a multi-link rear axle with wide track and a
low center of gravity result in the unmistakable MINI handling
that feels stable and agile, with excellent cornering ability.

2. BRAKING SYSTEM. Four disc brakes with Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Cornering Brake Control (CBC) as standard ensure
optimum braking performance in any situation. Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD) manages the distribution of braking force
between the front and rear axles. Brake assist accelerates the delivery of maximum braking force to ensure the shortest possible
stopping distances.
5. Adaptive Headlights. This optional system improves illumination of the road when cornering and allows drivers to see
farther ahead. Sensors measure the steering angle, rate of turn and vehicle speed, and electric motors then adjust the position
of the light beam accordingly (only available in conjunction with xenon headlights, not available with black head light housings).

Light alloy wheels blend seamlessly into the overall
design, and some are available with different color
choices.
The new rear tail lights with chrome edging and
LED elements add to the distinctive look of the rear
of the MINI.
The redesigned White direction-indicator lights have
even greater visual impact.
The exhaust tailpipe finished in chrome is a sporty
touch.

The soft top on the MINI Convertible is available in a choice of three colors: Black, Denim Blue and Hot Chocolate.
One feature that makes all the MINI Clubman models stand out is the characteristic Split Rear Barn Doors at the back
of the vehicle, fl anked by LED rear lights with built-in rear fog lights. A distinctive rear spoiler emphasizes the car’s
uniqueness.
The Openometer keeps track of every minute you
spend with the top down. It starts running as soon
as the soft top is fully open and the engine is on.
Roof rails allow drivers to mount a range of integrated
multifunctional carrier systems on the roof. They
blend harmoniously into the lines of the car, and are
finished in Matte Black. Maximum load is 1 6 5 lbs.
The new rear tail lights now feature LED technology.
The C-pillars come in the same color as the roof
(Silver or Black).

these sophisticated power plants are able to deliver
torque peaks at engine speeds as low as 1 ,6 0 0 rpm
along with fi re-breathing exhilaration at full turbo-boost.

2. FULLY VARIABLE VALVE TIMING AND
VALVETRONIC.
The fully variable valve timing feature relies on the
Valvetronic system to constantly measure the pressure
on the accelerator and precisely regulate the valve
timing to maximize air fl ow into the engine’s cylinders at
various engine speeds, improving combustion effi ciency
and reducing fuel consumption.
3. RECYCLABLE PARTS.
At MINI, we believe in reincarnation. At least for the
materials used to build our cars. We make sure the parts
that are candidates for recycling are easily identifi able.
For example, some components are simply stamped
with the recyclable logo, while all aluminum components
are left unpainted or “raw” and some High Density Poly
Ethylene parts, such as the fuel tank, are produced in
only one color – black.
