Cinemark Project 2013 The goal of this project was to reduce the amount of water the restrooms were using. 9 urinals and 10 sinks were replaced with waterless urinals and auto shutoff sinks. The Cinemark Project was a chance to convert two conventional commercial bathrooms into updated water smart bathrooms. The urinals were original 1998 1.0 gpf units that had not been adjusted in recent months. Under heavy use the valves would stick and they would run non-‐‑stop for hours. The sinks Cinemark Theaters in both the Men'ʹs room and the Waterless Urinals Women'ʹs room had manual faucets with Auto Shutoff Sinks 2 gpm aerator. During times of heavy Water Savings Urinals use they would often be left running. It Replace 9-‐‑1.0 gpf Water Urinals was common to have water on the floors with Waterless Urinals: from both the urinal values sticking and 327,725 gpf savings the sinks running. The project proposal Manual Shutoff Sink: 327,725 gpy Water Savings Faucets was to replace 9 water urinals with Replace 10 manual 2.0 gpm Sloan Waterless Urinals. The projected faucets with .5 gpm auto saving for this project is 327,725 gallons shutoff faucets: per year. This calculation came from 372,555 gpf saved the Projects THE COCHISE WATER PROJECT 1819 Paseo San Luis Sierra Vista, AZ 85635 PHONE 520-‐‑732-‐‑2014 Sloan website using their calculator. The faucets we used were Delta ADA compatible push button metered lavatory faucets. These replaced 10 manual faucets that used 2 gallon per minute aerators. The projected savings for changing these fixtures is 372,555 gallons per year using the calculator from "ʺThe Responsible Bathroom"ʺ from the American Standard website. The projections are based on an average of 100 uses for each urinal and sink per day at the Cinemark 10 theaters in Sierra Vista. WEB www.thecochisewaterproject.com
