Dear Partners, Sharing the truth of
Scripture with boys and girls is the
main purpose for all of the programming and print produced by CBH
Ministries. There is no option to
stray from or change that purpose.
Though the method and means of
expressing that message to kids may
change, the message is clear and solidly based on Scripture.
Sometimes it’s hard to see change
happen in a ministry. Like CBH
going from mostly radio programs
to a visual product such as Lost in
the Queue. Or seeing a wider based
print program beyond Keys for Kids
that includes tracts and Seasons of
Faith books.
When we look at these changes we
see progress. We are fully aware that
children are not turning on the radio like they once did. They’re using
their iPads and iPods and phones to
learn and communicate with each
other. We want to be where the kids
are.
Here is an update featuring our current programs and projects:

Next year we’re producing only two
books because of lack of funding.
One of the artists working on the
books has produced art for Max
Lucado’s books. His name is Mitch
Heinze and we’re excited to see how
his art compliments our stories.

Queue has been quite the learning
experience for all of us. Going from
straight audio production to video is
challenging the entire staff.
We were so encouraged when one
of our supporters offered to do a
matching grant to raise some support for the program. The grant was
matched and then some. How exciting!

Uncle Charlie. This great man just
celebrated his 77th birthday in
November. We are so grateful that
he is able to do what he loves best,
using his gifts for the Lord through
radio.
Steps of Faith - from the director
Every day when I walk through the doors of CBH
Ministries I wonder what God has in store for us.
Will he open the windows of heaven and pour out His
blessings upon us? Will there be hard times of waiting
ahead? Are we following closely on His heels in the
pathway He has chosen for us?
As the director I accept a lot of weight when it comes
to the outcome of this ministry. Measuring success is
not done in numbers here. It’s done in hearts turned
to Christ and children growing in their faith. Those
results are only seen partially. We don’t know how
many children were saved to a new relationship with
Christ today. We don’t know what growth took place
in any child’s life as a result of our Bible study or radio programs. We can only take a measurement by
responses that are sent to us. Like this email from a
mother in Tennessee:
“I just wanted to again thank you for your daily devotionals. We do them each morning with our boys before
school. Our middle son accepted Jesus after my husband
had read the devotions one morning. Since then our
youngest son has come to know Jesus. Thank you for
these devotionals, they are awesome. I even recommended you to some friends who are now reading them
with their kids.”
What we can measure is how much funding it takes
to complete all the work done in this ministry. The
transparent truth is that operational costs continue
while income has dropped.
I know you have a heart for reaching children with
the truth of the Gospel, so we’re asking you to take
another look at what you currently give and possibly,
after praying, increase your monthly donation. Any
amount would be of great help. I’m simply stating
what the need is and letting you and God make a
decision. We’ve listed some items below that would be
of great help in our monthly need.
It’s our prayer that much will be accomplished through
CBH Ministries for God’s glory and to further His
