This certification will be held near Altoona so we can expand throughout the
state. We will have our hands on clinic and study time on Friday starting at 8
am followed by the written exam at 7pm. The hands on tests will begin at 8
am Saturday.

Our clinic is a big time of the year to have new members sign up. To avoid confusion,
we want to remind everybody that all memberships expire on Dec 31 regardless of
when you join. We understand that this is a sore subject with some members, but in
order to maintain our association and have more funds to better serve you, we must
have an accurate count of current members. Since the change of officers we have been
using the old mailing list to keep everyone informed. If you are not a current member,
this will be your last newsletter. As always attached is a membership application for
yourself or a farrier in your area.
We are looking to have a hands clinic with a “heavy hitter” of your choice so please
contact us with some suggestions of guys who you would like to learn from. Call an
officer or send us an email.
Remember this is your association make it work for you.
Clinic and Contest highlights
We had an excellent turnout of farriers from Pennsylvania, Ohio & Virginia. Trey Green, CJF did an
excellent job. He took time to get under the horse and show what he was talking about with every
farrier there.
Our contest was a big success with help from all of our sponsors - special thanks to Mountain Springs
Rodeo Arena in Shartlesville for use of their indoor arena.
