solidwaste and at Vancouver City Hall
and other various City offices. This
year’s designated free leaf disposal
sites include City Bark, H & H Wood
Recyclers, West Van Materials Recovery Center and Triangle Resources.
The free leaf disposal program is intended to provide options for Vancouver residents with a lot of trees. Other
options include subscribing to Waste
Connections of Washington's yard debris collection services at
www.wcnorthwest.com or by calling
360-892-5370 or emailing [email protected]. You can
even compost leaves at home. Click
here to learn how through the regional Green Neighbors Program
(www.clarkgreenneighbors.org).
From November 2,
2015 to March 13,
2016, gazebos and
shelters at LeRoy
Haagen Park will be
closed each day
from 6pm to 6am.
The facilities at the
park are best used
during the daylights
hours,” said Julie
Hannon, Director of
the Parks and Recreation Department.
“We want to ensure
that our visitors
have the safest and
most enjoyable experience at our
parks. As it gets
darker earlier in the
evening during the
winter, gazebo and
shelter hours at
parks change to reflect that. Come
spring, these structures at our parks
will be open
longer.”
