March 19 - 21 - Fred Astaire Dance Studios
Thursday - Saturday
March 19 - 21
Wyndham San Antonio Riverwalk
San Antonio, TX
Welcome!
Our FAAC 2015 is a back-to-basics training seminar with many
new products to implement and change the course of our
businesses going forward!
This weekend, we will launch one of our newest resources; our new student development
department online video series. The new student department series is a beginning and
the first series will include all processes we use including the tour, goals meetings, financial
presentations, pre-chats, and so much more. The full intention of this National project is to
capture every interaction we do with students on film, performed by the best in our company,
to have a visual model to train from, in the same way we do in our dance videos.
The overall themes of the FAAC 2015 include new student department, marketing, advertising
and promotions, and leadership and management as it pertains to both hiring staff and the
longevity of staff in our industry.
There will be no IT presentations except in the format of introducing new products the
company is offering. This will be a hands-on, get-serious-about-changing-business-in-a-wayto-be-even-more-financially-sound, weekend!
We are closing Saturday with a one-on-one Business Mentoring Program in the same format
of the National Mentoring Program for our professional dancers. You are invited to work
one-on-one with mentors and get personalized coaching to address your individual needs.
These mentoring sessions are for our current franchisees and management at the time of the
seminar We will take into account any prospective franchisees coming in from the outside to
participate.
Our Dance Board has a wonderful lineup as well as the staff. We are bringing
two of the best West Coast Swing and
Argentine Tango trainers in the country
along with Donnie Burns, who needs
no introduction! The Staff Seminar
begins 6:00 PM Friday and ends at 4:00
PM Saturday. The break-out sessions
on Friday will be appropriate for
them to attend if they are in town.
I have taken into account all
surveys and read directly
all of your feedback. I
am expecting you will
experience a different
model from the past. I
hope you will enjoy this
weekend!

Close the Knowing vs. Doing Gap
Learn more about the actions of making things happen. All studios need to utilize the
very same systems to grow their franchised business to success. This presentation will explore
the reasons why inconsistencies exist in the application of information. The objective of the
presentation is to help all attendees harness the power to proactively move their business to
the success levels that we all expect of a franchise. We will identify blockers to implementation,
define systems with a priority order for implementation, as well as discuss the best studied habit
formation rules. This presentation will include lecture, discussion, and workshop elements; and
all attendees will create a personal checklist from a standard guide that they can bring home and
use as a map to guide them in a forward progressive movement.
LUNCH (Cash & Carry)
Mentoring Program (3 Sessions)
Our Mentoring Program is fashioned after the National Mentoring program at nationals where
“management personnel” will be given an opportunity to meet one on one with certain top

these roles presently. You can choose from many different mentors and meet one on one for 45
minutes with each.
Each session will be 30.00 in the same way the dance coaching is set up.
All subjects will be addressed that are part of our day to day along with budget, goals, growth,
change, hiring, staff and student acquisition, multi – unit systems, time management, life balance,
operating a studio with children and/or outside responsibilities, dancing professionally while in
management / ownership, etc.
Notes: Once all current management personnel have been scheduled, any sessions still available
will be opened up for prospective management/ franchisees moving into these positions within
6 months.

Sasha Bylim, Albina Haberle, Antoinette Benevento, Jean Marc Casanave, Jack Rothweiler, Luann

Leadership/Management
The objective of these sessions will be to train and workshop the necessary skills and processes
needed to hire and attract great staff and management and to create longevity with these same people.
All sessions will be geared toward performing as an effective leader that inspires and empowers
employees to be and do more than they thought possible. Critical thinking skills, successful decision
making, employee benefits systems, goal setting with employees, and career opportunity paths are
only a few of the subjects that will be covered.
Marketing, Advertising and Promotions
The objective of these sessions will be to provide templates, tools and other initiatives to assist in the
marketing efforts at the studio, regional, national and International level. New presenters that are
succeeding in the market today averaging over 10 new students a week will be part of the presentation
team, offering more options to choose from to build your student base.
New Student Department
All success in our business that creates the environment of joy, laughter and “eu- stress” [positive
stress] comes from having enough to go around, congruent with all life principles. This measures out
in having a large and growing active count. The active count is built with a productive and consistent
new student department. One of our newest products is in production at this time and will be launched
at FAAC, 2015. This product is a video series using some of the best in our company demonstrating
the actual processes with students to use in training staff in our company how to be the very best with
Bronze and below. The objective of these sessions will be to help implement this series into your
day to day training and to demonstrate the many different uses of this tool to increase your active
counts going forward. Your national company is creating and paying for this for you to use as part of
the manuals and videos we presently have to show FADS has a unique system of teaching, unlike any
other. There will be no additional cost to you to access them.
