O
ctober is arguably the nicest weather month of the year at Savannah
Quarters. With the average daily temperature of 70 degrees this
makes it ideal to head outdoors to play golf, tennis, and for healthy
fitness activities with Rebecca and Zsofi. The entertainment options
available for Members are abundant with numerous activities to explore.
The Quarter’s Lounge features college and professional football throughout
the week. Sunday Baked Dishes TO GO are available to take home for a lazy
Sunday evening with family and friends. The Club’s Championship is the
weekend of the 10th, so come and check out great golf performances from
your fellow Member Residents.
Oktoberfest will be the biggest and best one ever with the return of the
Rhinelanders band. These guys really know how to turn the Clubhouse
into a Bavarian Party! And this year, Lacy and the Social Committee have
planned the Adult Halloween Cocktail Party for Thursday the 30th followed
by the Kid’s Halloween Spooktaculer on Friday the 31st. All ghost and
goblins will convene at the Clubhouse Circle to kick-start Friday evenings
Trick or Treating in Westbrook.
Please stop in and enjoy fellowship and an early dinner at the Quarters
Lounge on Tuesday evenings, we always have delicious drink specials. The
Quarters Lounge dinner menu is available 4:00-8:00pm for a quick and easy
meal at the Club. Make Thursdays a fun night to meet your neighbors, or
make it a date night with special dinner events planned each Thursday for
you, our valued members.

The format for this years’ Club Championship will be a 36 hole
medal play competition. In this format, every player will be
playing against the others in their divisions and the low 36 hole
score will determine the winner. All Open flights will play at
scratch and net flights will play with 100% of handicap.

Savannah Quarters is hosting a PGA East Chapter Pro-Am on Monday,
October 20th. Please call the golf shop if you are interested in playing.
Deadline: October 17, 2014 at 10:00am (EST)
Eligibility Rules:
Open to all East Chapter Members and Apprentices in good standing
with the Georgia PGA. All amateurs must have a current USGA handicap
index, but do not have to be from the same club.
Entry Fee:
$300 per team ($80 per amateur & $60 for professional). Full team entry
fee must be paid when registering. Entry includes mandatory golf carts,
range balls, lunch, and prizes.
Tournament Format:
1 Gross Best Ball and 1 Net Best Ball at 80% of Handicaps
Lunch & Shotgun:
Lunch will begin at 11:00am and Shotgun Start will be at 12:30pm
LGA Mentoring Day
Friday, October 24th | 10:00am
New and experienced golfers, a special day just for you. No golf clubs
allowed. Learn the nuances of the game, things experienced golfers take
for granted. Simple things like: where to stand when someone is putting,
where the golf cart should be parked, how to improve pace of play.
Plus so much more. The ladies of the LGA will provide the on-course
instruction for many of the golf situations which are often stumbling
blocks to those new at the game. Just bring your putter, a ball, and a ball
