Never to wait again
The release of new features, drivers and
improvements do not have to wait for the release
of a new version of the software anymore.
We did away with the versioning system and
fully embraced Service Packs. EasySIGN
now uses Service Packs to not only release
bug fixes and small improvements but also
to release new features, new drivers and
major improvements. For you as an enduser this means your software will always
be up-to-date with the latest features, drivers
and improvements. A maintenance contract will
ensure you a constant flow of new items and major
improvements.
The big changes lie under the hood
Fully compatible with Windows 7, a huge code overhaul to even further
improve stability and speed. Also the PDF workflow is greatly improved.
Some changes are not even in EasySIGN
To overcome cluttering of EasySIGN some of the new features are now separated from the core of
EasySIGN and placed in easy to master Helper applications.
Stick it or not
EasySIGN is no longer only depended of a Hardware lock. You can choose to use a hardware lock or to
bind the license to a specific computer. Each has its own advantages and the choice is up to you.
What flavor do you want?
EasySIGN is now available in more than one flavor. You can choose either Perpetual (lifetime) licenses or
Subscription (annual) licenses.
• Perpetual (lifetime) licenses come with free 90 days EasySIGN maintenance and the option to buy
EasySIGN maintenance when you need it, EasySIGN maintenance is an annual subscription that is
automatically renewed.
• Subscription (annual) licenses are annual subscriptions which are automatically renewed with free
Maintenance for the same period as the subscription.
You can stop the annual renewal of a license at any-time in our Webshop using your account page.
Compatibility
Compatibility is now a two way pipeline. You can as before export
worksheets from the supported applications to EasySIGN, new
is that you now can also export worksheets from EasySIGN
to the supported applications. Also Compatibility with
Coreldraw™ X5, Adobe Illustrator™ CS5/CS5.5 and
Adobe Photoshop™ CS5/CS5.5 is added.
Text merge
The world’s most easy and versatile text merge there
is. Create automatically any number of design variations
with different text and/or images based on your
design and a simple text file (.CSV). This text
based .CSV file can either be supplied by your
customer from e.g. their database or can be made
from scratch with Excel or the new EasySIGN CSV
Editor.
EasySIGN CSV Editor
The new EasySIGN CSV Editor contains
functionality especially build to match the needs
for the Signmaking and Finishing industry. It
can convert Access database files supplied by
your customer, create specific auto numbering
sequences, rearrange rows and columns,
automatically add paths to image files, search and
replace, merge columns and rows etc.
Send your design for approval
You can now use Outlook™ 2003 and 2007 to send your
design directly from EasySIGN to your customer. Not only
that but you can use the new EasySIGN HTML Editor to
easily construct an email that can be read in any email client.
EasySIGN HTML Editor
The new EasySIGN HTML Editor is especially made to make sure
that any email you design can be read in any email client. You can
create an email from scratch or use one of the available templates which
you can use unedited or as a base for your company’s personalized email. This
Helper application is easy to use and requires no knowledge of the HTML language.
EasySIGN File Rename
A Helper application for easy file renaming. This
is especially useful for renaming files from e.g. a
digital camera.
Calculate line length and surfaces
Never have to guess again how
much material will be used for a
specific job.
Sign Blanc
Use any shape to define as place holder for your design surface. You can for example use a drawing that
represents an outdoor sign and make your design within the boundaries of the Sign Blanc. The Sign Blanc
will never be printed or cut.
Device specific tool lines
Create device specific tool lines
and define the cutting order
of the tools. You can even
specify your own custom
colors per line type.
Advanced import
Connect
The Stickercontour has an
extra option called ‘Connect’
which makes it possible to
create a single peel able
design no matter how far the
elements of a design lie apart.
This feature could be described
as an intelligent combination
between a Rubberband and the Stickercontour.
It is now possible to import a PDF or AI/PDF
(Illustrator version 9 and up are actually
PDF files) as a bitmap while simultaneously
separating Special lines as vector. In the settings
dialog you can choose a hairline color that should
be imported as a ‘Print & Cut line’, ‘Pounce-line’, ‘Cut
through-line’ or ‘Creasing line’, previously this would only
work with AI files version 8 and lower. Now this will work for
every PDF or AI/PDF file.
Magic Wand Outline
Apply outlines to the bitmap
data itself. Select a part
of the bitmap with the
Magic Wand tool and
apply an outline
directly to the
Magic Wand.
Naming objects
Every object can be given
its own name which makes it a lot easier to find
objects in a ‘crowded’ worksheet.
True shape nesting
‘True shape nesting’ is an automated method of
minimizing material usage. ‘True shape nesting’
places objects together with minimal space
between them. Using this functionality is cost
efficient and environmental friendly by using less
material. Also ‘True shape nesting’ is easy and
straight forward to use. In the example shown
below you can see on the left a normal placement
and on the right a placement (with the same
number of objects) done by ‘True shape nesting’.

Convert alpha channel to vector data
If you have a bitmap with an alpha channel you
can automatically convert this alpha channel to
vector data. You can use this vector data as cutting
data and/or mask and no longer have to do this
manually.
EasySIGN High Resolution Images
EasySIGN High Resolution Images is a special collection of original
illustrations specially made for the Signmaking industry and
demanding designers. The illustrations as available in the EasySIGN
High Resolution Images collection are unique and are meant
as building blocks for signs, offset printing, cover art, posters,
exhibitions etc.
All the images have a resolution of 3580x2551 pixels which is an “A4 size” or “Letter” size with overlap on
300DPI for offset print. For close-viewing and large format printing this resolution is suitable for at least
126x90 cm (50x35 inch) and even a lot larger for roadside billboards.
EasySIGN Seamless Tile Fills
EasySIGN Seamless Tile Fills are high resolution seamlessly tile able bitmaps. The
EasySIGN textures are meant for software applications that support tile
fills (like EasySIGN). Because they are seamlessly tile-able you can
tile them indefinitely to fill any size area you need. Use them in for
example backgrounds or designs that need large areas filled with
one structure. They are also very suitable for 3D applications to
map them on 3D objects or even as website page backgrounds.
All the images have a resolution between 300x300 pixels and 900x900 pixels. For offset print this size
means that a single tile is between 25x25mm and 75x75mm large. For large format printing this is
between 105x105mm (4.13x4.13inch) and 317x317mm large (12.5x12.5inch).
EasySIGN Bitmap Fonts
EasySIGN Bitmap Fonts are very high resolution bitmaps of characters with an alpha channel
for transparency and a vector path for Print & Cut.
All the images have a resolution of 2000x2000 pixels. For offset print this size
means you can use each character as large as 170x170mm (6.7x6.7inch). For
large format printing you can use each character 700x700mm (27.6x27.6inch)
for close viewing like for exhibitions and even a lot larger for roadside billboards.
