Las Cabezas de San Juan (El Faro Lighthouse) Tour
On the northeastern tip of the island in the municipality of Fajardo we find Las Cabezas de San Juan Natural Reserve.
Located on 445 acres of land acquired and maintained by The Conservation Trust of Puerto Rico, the reserve is
named after three promontories that jut out into the Northern Atlantic – “cabeza” meaning headland. The main tour
is a two-hour trolley ride that guides you along the reserve with three stops of interest. Among those are the
boardwalk trail through a mangrove forest, Playa Lirios, and El Faro de Fajardo. Situated on the highest point of Cape
San Juan, the stone building was the second lighthouse erected on the island by the Spanish. Officially lit on May 2,
1882, it has been operating uninterrupted to this day.

Puerto Rico Museum of Art and Old San Juan Shopping or Historical Tour
Are you looking for a little quiet culture in the heart of San Juan? The PR Museum of Art (MAPR) is a 130,000-squarefoot neoclassical building from the 1920s formerly known as the San Juan Municipal Hospital. It is one of the biggest
museums in the Caribbean and a local house for collections from the 17th century. The journey start by a guided tour
by one of the museum docents, starting with the ground floor devoted to classic art work. One wing contains a
gallery with paintings, wood carvings and religious articles from the 17th to 19th centuries. The opposite wing’s
gallery has more recent works from 1930-1960. After this artistic adventure, we are headed to Old San Juan – the
oldest city in the US. Guests will have an opportunity to do some shopping and have lunch on their own. A popular
option is to have our staff pre-arrange lunch at one of Old San Juan’s fine restaurants.

El Yunque Rainforest Walking Tour
Named after the good Indian spirit, Yuquiyu, and shelter to the Taino Indians for 200 years, El Yunque is the only
tropical rainforest in the U.S. National Forest System. Spanning 28,000 acres and reaching an elevation of 3,624 feet,
the area receives over 100 billion gallons of rainfall each year. In El Yunque you will see many unique sights and hear
many unique sounds unsurpassed by any of the natural wonders. Breathtaking views of feathery ferns, thick ropelike
vines, white tuberoses, ginger, miniature orchids and some 240 different species of trees are in abundance
throughout the area. Home to the Puerto Rican parrot, El Yunque is also a bird sanctuary and you can hear the
wondrous strains of these birds harmonizing with the tiny, inch-long coqui’s prevalent to Puerto Rico. Splashing falls
and cool shaded pools complement the total enhancement of the forest. For groups who like to include a relaxing
stroll along with their ride, we will provide knowledgeable step-aboard guides and staff, who will take your party on a
scenic 30 to 45 minute walk along one of may trails, while pointing out the splendor of the surroundings for photo
opportunities or just pure enjoyment. . Please wear tennis shoes or hiking boots. Don’t forget to bring along a towel
and an extra T-shirt.
