According to lawmakers and other state leaders, the gas tax you pay
at the pump isn’t providing enough money to build new highways in
Texas. “There’s just no free lunch on transportation. There’s no
‘concrete fairy’ out there that shows up and puts all this stuff together

"There's no free lunch on transportation", REALLY? Unless you sneak into this
country illegally using roads (schools, hospitals and more) you didn't pay for, print up
your own phony stickers and paper plates, etc. Wake up people, this is why we are all
paying more for everything! We are carrying millions of criminals on our backs and if
someone doesn't put a stop to it this state is doomed.

Right now in Texas new highways are toll roads. Why do I need to pay 3 times
(registration, gas tax and toll) to drive on same road. TXDOT and NTTA has become
way greedier. I bet all those people decision makers in those two departments getting
hefty pay.

Pretty much the same as schools; we're taxed at the local, state and
federal level for schools yet they all say they need more money. Maybe they all
need to present realistic budgets, justify their spending and then set up ONE
fair tax or fee to cover it.

which are the equal to free after school daycare, and we have to hire
more teachers and make more room for millions of people who don't
belong here and don't contribute!

We need to make everyone aware of this and call our reps in Austin and say
NO. TXDOT just wastes our money by supporting items that have nothing to do with
roads. Like new brick and rock city signs that cost a fortune. Grants for this and that,
such as,what does restoring a courthouse have to do with building toads
