Christmas Tree Collection
New Item for RecyclingCARTONS!
We are now accepting cartons for recycling. This
exciting addition to our programs and services will
allow our customers to recycle more!
What are cartons?
Cartons are the packaging for many products you
can find at the store including milk, juice, cream,
egg substitutes, soy milk, soup, broth, and wine.
They come in two different types—the aseptic or
shelf stable cartons found on store shelves as well
as the familiar gable-top, refrigerated cartons.
How do I recycle cartons?
Place empty cartons in your recycling bin.
What happens to the cartons I recycle?
Cartons are sorted and baled at Burrtec’s West
Valley Material Recovery Facility. The bales of
cartons are sold to paper mills. Here, fiber in the
cartons is converted into pulp, which in turn is
made into recycled paper products and building
materials.
Why should I recycle cartons?
Cartons are made mainly
from paper, plastic and some
aluminium. All of which
are recyclable! Recycling
cartons helps to save
those resources, which is
good for our environment.
Mountain Disposal will provide Christmas tree collection at curbside for those
residents receiving curbside service. Please place your tree at curbside after
Christmas (December 26, 2015 through January 8, 2016) on your regular collection
day. Trees 6’ and over need to be cut in half. Please take all ornaments, lights, and
metal stands off of the tree. Customers using the Clean Mountain Drop-Off Sites
may bring their trees to the site for collection and recycling. No flocked trees. They
must be placed in a trash barrel, 6’ and over must be cut in half.
Extra Holiday Trash
Approximately 80% of your holiday trash is recyclable. All gift boxes,
wrapping paper, greeting cards, and cardboard packaging are items that
may be placed in your recycling barrel. Mountain Disposal will collect your
excess holiday trash and recyclables following the Christmas and New Year’s
Holidays (December 26, 2015 through January 2, 2016). Place the extra
materials in bags alongside your recycling containers on your collection day.
You may also bring your holiday trash to the Clean Mountain drop-off sites.
Happy New Year!
Is your New Year’s resolution to clean-out all of your junk? If so,
Burrtec offers a 3-yard to 40-yard bin for all of your residential
clean-up and special project needs. Contact our Customer
Service Department to begin your New Year’s Resolution!
Attention Residents, Recycle More!
In an effort to increase recycling and control disposal costs, we offer recycling
services at NO ADDITIONAL COST to our curbside customers. This service
includes one (1) blue Burrtec recycling barrel at no additional charge.
Call our Customer Service Department at (909) 338-2417 to enroll in the recycling
program and begin reducing the volume of trash going into our landfills.
Your blue Burrtec recycling barrel will be delivered on your next service day.
Recycling is serviced separately on your regular service day.
Recycling can help save the environment and help you save money!
