IT’S NO SECRET, I love South Surrey’s
Morgan Heights neighbourhood. The air
always feels fresh here and the location
means easy walking to everything, from
shops and galleries to parks and beaches.
So you can bet I can’t wait to take
a look at Morgan Rise, a brand new
collection of 64 single-family homes from
Foxridge Homes — especially since Diane
Zarola, director of sales and marketing,
has told me there are four, professionally
furnished display homes for me to check
out. I can’t wait.
Designed to Delight
From the street, Morgan Rise’s
architecture has an almost storybook
charm — stone accents, steeply gabled
rooflines, inviting front porches and exquisitely
proportioned windows that I can see will fill these
homes with sunlight. No wonder Diane tells me
that within three weeks of opening almost half these
homes were sporting “SOLD” signs.
As we wander through the four display homes, the
sheer good looks and intelligent design I’ve come
to expect from Foxridge are evident everywhere.
Main floor ceilings that soar 10-foot high, fireplaces
with luxurious stone surrounds and an art or TV
niche above, vaulted master suites featuring lavishly
appointed ensuites with granite counters and oversized, frameless glass showers — these homes have
it all… and then some. Just off the front entry, there’s

Since Diane always remembers my passion for
cooking, we spend some extra time in the kitchens.
In a word, they’re beautiful. But more importantly,

matte finish that I know is virtually indestructible, plus

day-to-day life.

“This is truly one of South Surrey’s prime
neighbourhoods,” Diane says. “Sunnyside Elementary
is literally just around the corner and Southridge
Private School is only a couple of blocks away. You
can be on the freeway to YVR or the US border in
minutes, the White Rock Beach Promenade is about
a 10-minute drive, and there are four golf courses
less than a 15-minute drive away.”
She points to the North Shore Mountains that
float on the horizon to the north. “And couldn’t you
just get used to looking at that,” she says. Well yes, I
could… in about three minutes flat.
