ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW
Major Events
Winterfest is the Eastern Region’s signature
event and is attended by up to 1,100+ members. The event is typically held in March of
each year at one of the Northeast U.S.’ premier ski resorts. Clubs from Boston to Miami
participate in this season finale. It recaps the
trips that our clubs have taken all year, and
entices our members into thinking about
where they will vacation next year!
Summerfest is held in August of each year,
and provides Eastern Region club members
an opportunity to participate in a non-ski
activity. Prior Summerfest locations have
included South Beach–Miami, FL, Virginia
Beach, VA. This event is typically attended
by up to 500 participants.
Early Season WarmUp is the official kick off
to each ski season! This event is national in
nature – with participants from the Eastern
Region clubs, as well as ski clubs in Los Angeles, Seattle, Houston, Detroit, Dallas, Denver, Kansas City and many other locations.
This event is typically held during the first full
week of December at one of the nation’s
premier Rocky Mountain/Western ski resorts
such as Steamboat and Snowbird. Since
its inception in 1997, participation has increased each year. More than 700 winter
enthusiasts attended the 2006 event.
