During those years he enjoyed Scouting, ice hockey and traveling with his parents and brother for summer vacations. David fell in love with New Mexico at age 14 when he attended Philmont Scout Ranch in Cimarron. After attending the University of Denver David joined the US Air Force and was stationed in Texas, Colorado, and Utah before overseas assignments to Vietnam, Korea, England, Germany and Greece. David is an Eagle Scout, recipient of the Airman’s Medal for heroism, and twice named Rotarian of the Year by District 5520. David joined Rotary in 1995 and has served as International Chairman, Club President, Club Foundation Trustee, Assistant District Governor, and chaired two annual District conferences. David’s wife, Maureen, joined Rotary in 2004 and has served as Chairwoman of Albuquerque del Norte’s Community and Club Service avenues. David met his wife, Maureen, at the Canadian Forces base in Baden-Baden Germany where Maureen was teaching kindergarten and David was Maintenance Supervisor of a small USAF detachment. They were married a year later and enjoyed further assignments in Germany and Greece before returning to the US in 1976. After command assignments, they retired in Albuquerque to raise their two daughters, Marymaureen and Megan. David is semi-retired from his company, Paragon Technical Services, a Federal government contractor, and Maureen is now retired from her teaching career. Both are active members of the Albuquerque del Norte Rotary Club and enjoy community and international service, travel and spending time with family. Maureen has continued skiing and singing with the Enchanted Mesa Show Chorus of Sweet Adeline’s International. David enjoys golf, traveling and Rotary. Both David and Maureen are Paul Harris Fellows, Rotary Foundation Benefactors and members of the Arch Klumph Society. Marymaureen and her husband Dave live in Denver and enjoy an active life in the mountains. Megan and her husband Scott, also an active member of the Del Norte Rotary Club, enjoy Albuquerque and life with their daughter, Kathryn and son, Shane. The whole family looks forward to yet another grandchild later this year. Anson has co-owned and co-managed residential land development businesses for the past 13 years. After downsizing, Teresa and her husband and business partner, and fellow Rotarian, Cliff, are now running only 2 development companies, both now in Colorado. Teresa graduated with honors from Colorado Mesa University with a BS in Mathematics as well as degrees in elementary and secondary education. She retired from teaching in 2005 to be able to expand the family land development businesses. Volunteering has been a large part of Teresa’s life beginning with local school accountability committee work, community organizations, and her church home. She was the Trustee and Board member for a number of organizations. She is currently serving as the President of the Colorado Mesa University Foundation Board. Rotary continues to be a significant interest and she serves in various roles at her local Club as well District 5470. Teresa began her Rotary service in 2003. Cliff was her sponsor for joining the Grand Junction Rotary Club. She became a member of the Paul Harris Society on her induction day. She has served on many of the 29 committees in her club and chaired several of them. She has been on the Club’s Board multiple times and served on the Grand Junction Rotary Club Foundation Board. She was selected as Rotarian of the Year for the 2009-2010 year by the Grand Junction Rotary Club. She became the Club’s President for the year 2012-2013 and was only the 3rd woman to serve in that role in the Club’s 93 year history. As President, Teresa was able to attend the RI Convention in Bangkok. She is very dedicated to the Rotary Foundation and is a level 3 Major Donor. She has served at the District 5470 level beginning with RYE and Global Grants. She is currently serving as the District Administration and Management Chair and District Governor Elect. Teresa and Cliff have 4 children and 3 grandchildren, with another one on the way. Cliff is a dedicated Rotarian of 13 years and serves on the District Grants Committee for District 5470. He is also a level 3 Major Donor. Teresa and Cliff reside in Grand Junction and are engaged and involved in many aspects of their community. Susan has 17 years of perfect attendance in Rotary. Susan served as Assistant District Governor in District 5730 for Area 6, is a Past President of her Rotary Club, has served on numerous club and district committees, is presently serving on the district and club RYE committee, and serves the district on the Foundation Committee as Global Grants Chair. Susan has received District 5730’s Outstanding Rotarian Award, has co-chaired D5730’s Million Dollar Dinner, has served as the Team Leader for the Vocational Training Team Global Grant to Malawi, Africa, is certified as a Visioning Facilitation Trainer, and along with her husband has hosted many exchange students and GSE team members for the past 30 years. Susan is a multiple Paul Harris Fellow, a Paul Harris Society member, a Rotary Benefactor and Bequest Society Member, a charter member of the Rotary Wine Appreciation Fellowship and member of the Global History Fellowship. Susan graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in Design and from the University of Minnesota with a graduate degree in Textile Research and Statistics and post graduate work in Accounting. Susan and Cal currently operate Texas Country Produce and Oak Creek Manufacturing. Susan serves as the Executive Director of the 1000 member Texas Certified Farmers Market Association and has served on numerous community boards in many capacities. Susan and Cal have three married children and seven grandchildren. Interests and hobbies include travel and textile arts. Rotary Zones 21b & 27 District Governors-Elect Institute 2015 Bill & Lisa Dendy District 5810—Zone 21b Governor 2016-2017 [email protected] 6437 Stonehaven Dr. Dallas, TX 75254 214-912-1106 William (Bill) Dendy is a husband, family man, and successful businessman who believes it is important to give back, to touch lives in a positive way and to help others obtain their life goals. Rotary has provided an avenue to achieve these objectives. Bill is a 5th generation Texan. He graduated from Lake Highlands High School in Dallas; he then attended the University of Dallas (Undergraduate Degree in Philosophy), and Southern Methodist University obtaining an MBA and JD. He is a member of American Mensa and is a private pilot. He enjoys travel, fine dining, and deep sea fishing. In 2000 Bill joined the Rotary Club of Dallas, where he found many opportunities to serve the club and the community. Serving on the Club’s Board of Directors under each avenue of service, he produced the club’s weekly newsletter for two years. He held several key roles for Camp Enterprise including Camp Chairperson, and District Ambassador for the promoting the camp. Bill chaired and hosted the Valentines Gala to raise money for the club’s foundation; and served on the Foundation Committee and Investment Committee. Additionally, Bill enjoyed the social activities and volunteered for many of the club’s projects such as the Bike Rodeo, Texas Scholars, Blood Drives, “I Like Me” Reading and Book Program, Mentorship, and Veterans Day Celebration, chairing registration. Bill Dendy was the key Organizer and Charter member of the District 5810 E-club. This Unique E-club concept includes a weekly physical meeting; utilizing technology to combine the convenience of an e-club with the socialization of a traditional club. Their motto is, “Rotary Your Way.” Within District 5810, Bill served as District Treasurer from 2010 to 2012, and was District Rotarian of the Year 2012. He was Co-chair for two District Conferences. Bill served on the DAPCO Committee and was a District Assembly Trainer. He has attended several Rotary International Conventions where he has produced videos of major international projects, such as “End Hunger Now” and “H2Open Doors,” to promote project cooperation between clubs internationally, and impactful uses for global grants. “To see the amazing projects and the good done by Rotary, makes you want to do more and give more,” says Dendy, who also gives to the Rotary Foundation. Bill is a member of the Paul Harris Society, Bequest Society, and White Hat Society, and is a major donor. Lisa Nolley Dendy is also a Rotarian. Lisa served as Secretary and President of the North Dallas Evening Rotary Club. Lisa further served as the District’s Group Study Exchange Team Leader to France in 2012. Lisa is a Graduate of Southern Methodist University, and received a JD from the University of Tulsa. Together, Bill and Lisa and their children enjoy the many benefits of Rotary and giving back to the community and the Rotary organization. He founded the Evergreen Commercial Group which is the largest full service commercial brokerage specializing in Colorado Foothills properties. He is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM), a member of the Denver Metro Commercial Association of Realtors, a graduate of Leadership Evergreen, a member of the Conifer and Evergreen Chambers among other things. He is also a past major donor to the Mountain Area Land Trust. Prior to commercial real estate, Bill was the founder, President and CEO of Industrial Computer Systems from 1974 to 1998, a company specializing in computer aided dispatch systems. During that time, he was also active with the Institute of Industrial Engineers. Bill became a Rotarian in 2005 and is a member of Mountain Foothills Rotary Club of Evergreen. After fulfilling many positions with the club, Bill became President during 2010-11. He was Rotarian of the Year for his club in 2009 and for District 5450 in 2015. He became Assistant Governor of Area 8 (Foothills clubs) following his presidency. Bill is active with District and is very involved with the District Membership Team. He is also part of the Area Assembly Team and Chairs the Million Dollar Dinner. Bill is a Paul Harris Society member. He has given numerous presentations and trainings to clubs and individuals. He is most known for his success with membership and fundraising. Bill was raised early on in England and has relatives there still. He is the product of a career Navy family. Among many other duties including D-Day in WWII, his father commanded a Destroyer out of Newport. After moving from England, Bill has lived in Newport RI, Bethesda MD, Rockville Center NY, Jacksonville FL, Long Branch NJ, Redondo Beach CA before moving to Evergreen CO in 1983. He considers Newport as his home town and graduated from Middletown High School there in 1966. Bill received the Outstanding Young Engineer Award in Newport in 1966. He went on to graduate from Jacksonville University with a major in math, minor in Management in 1971. Bill has been married to Karin since 1993. They have four wonderful children: Julie (Scott), Jill (Chuck), Ned (Janelle) and Todd (Alexa) and seven grandchildren in Colorado and California. Rotary Zones 21b & 27 District Governors-Elect Institute 2015 Chris & Amiee Ford District 5710—Zone 27 Governor 2016-2017 [email protected] 13901 Long St. Overland Park, KS 66221 913-548-6425 Chris Ford has been a member of the Overland Park South Rotary since 2006 during which time he has been awarded the Paul Harris Fellow Award, served in various chairs on the Rotary Board of Directors and served as the Club’s President from 2012-13. Under his leadership, the Overland Park South Rotary Club experienced a 25% growth in membership. During his time with the Overland Park South Rotary Club Chris has participated in countless community charity events, the most important of which is the annual “Jazz in the Woods” festival which yields nearly $100,000 each year in donations to children’s charities in the Kansas City metropolitan area. Chris’s passion for Rotary comes from his desire to serve his community. As the World’s largest Service Organization, Rotary has the ability to serve local, national and international communities in need. Specifically, Chris believes any philanthropic effort focused on curing, educating and supporting Children deserves all of our attention. Chris’s experience during combat in the Middle East as an Infantry Officer taught him that providing a safe and healthy environment for all Children will yield the greatest returns for our Global community… and supporting our youth is Rotary’s passion! Chris is a Partner at Cretcher Heartland, where he serves as the VP of Sales. He is the CEO of Physician Management Partners, a joint endeavor with Cretcher Heartland to provide additional management services to their Healthcare clients. Additionally, Chris is an owner of Infusion Express, which provides outpatient infusion therapy for chronic disease management. Chris enjoys staying healthy and participating in healthy competition. He has completed a Marathon and an Ironman Triathlon. He also coaches his children’s sports teams. He is married to Amiee (Pharmacist) and they have two children; Logan (13) and Lauren (9). District Governors-Elect Institute 2015 Bruce & Sharon Golden District 5870-Zone 21b Governor 2016-2017 [email protected] 4109 Bluffridge Dr. Austin, TX 78759 512-940-5480 Bruce has lived and worked in Austin his entire life. He graduated from the University of Texas in 1980. After twenty years in the financial service and employee benefits business, he is currently the Chief Financial Officer for the Karavel Shoe Stores of Austin. Bruce has been a member of the Rotary Club of Austin since 1998 with a perfect attendance record. The Golden family’s history with the Rotary organization began over fifty years ago when Mace Golden (grandfather) joined the Rotary Club of Corsicana. Allen (Bruce’s father) was also a member of the Rotary Club of Corsicana. After relocating to Austin, Allen joined the Rotary Club of Austin and inspired his son, Bruce, to do the same. Bruce is a dedicated and very active member in Rotary, having held almost every position in his club including President from 2009-2010. His favorite area of service involves helping children. He has either served or chaired the following service areas in his club: Helping Hands Home committee, New Generation project (Early Act First Knight), Student scholarships, Rotaract at UT and RYLA leadership camp. Bruce served on his club’s Foundation board for two terms and was Chairman for one term. If you asked Bruce when he joined Rotary, he would say he actually became a true Rotarian after serving on the Scholarship committee and seeing the difference Rotary made in the lives of the students who received those scholarships. At the District level, Bruce has served as Lt. Governor for Youth Services, District Secretary for two years, and Assistant Governor for three years, District Conference Chair and has served on the Grants Subcommittee. He was inducted to the District 5870 Roll of Fame in 2012. Bruce and his wife, Sharon (also a UT grad) have been married for 32 years. They both enjoy travel and meeting new people, playing golf, attending UT baseball and football games and supporting UT’s Bass Concert Hall. Bruce and Sharon have two children, Bryan and Rebecca. Bryan is currently employed with the City of Austin as a City Planner. Rebecca is a senior at the University of Texas at Austin majoring in Broadcast Journalism. Bruce and Sharon are Rotary Foundation Major Donors, members of the District 5870 Paul Harris and Polio Plus Societies, members of the Rotary Foundation’s Bequest Society (level two), members of the White Hat Society and the President’s Council of the RCA. (Bob) Greenstreet’s association with Rotary began as a result of service. As a speech and debate team director, he provided judges for the annual Four Way Test Speech Contest for several years before he asked about joining the club. Bob joined the Ada Rotary Club in 1990. He brought Jennifer into the club a year later. As a result of job scheduling conflicts, they resigned to join the Ada Sunrise Rotary Club. Bob has served the ASRC as both President and Secretary. During his year as president, the club initiated the Latta High School Interact Club. Bob is a member of the Paul Harris Society. He and Jennifer are multiple Paul Harris Fellows and Major Donors. Bob cosponsors the East Central University Rotaract Club. Bob and Jennifer have had perfect attendance since joining Rotary. Bob continues his association with the speech contest, chairing both the Ada Sunrise Rotary Club and District 5770 Four Way Test Speech Contest committees. Bob and Jennifer live in Ada, OK where they enjoy reading, golf, walking their rescued Standard Poodle, NPR, and their grandchildren. Bob is a frequent presenter for Let’s Talk About It, Oklahoma programs at libraries throughout the state. Bob is vegetarian. Jennifer goes a step farther; she is vegan. She’s the former Project Manager, University Research Alliance, West Texas A&M University. Debbie is a graduate of The American University Kogod School of Business, Business Executive Program. Debbie is a past Assistant Governor and Lieutenant Governor of Membership. Debbie has received the Gold New Member Sponsor Recognition, Southside Corpus Christi Rotarian of the Year Award, and the Cliff Dochterman Award by the International Fellowship of Scouting Rotarians. Debbie and “First-Dude”, Joe, are members of Southside Corpus Christi, Paul Harris Society Members, Bequest Society Members, and will soon be Major Donors. She serves on the Lone Star P.E.T.S. Strategic Planning Committee and served as the 2015 Rotary Institute Promote Local Rotarian Attendance, Chair. In 2014 Debbie’s mother relocated to Corpus and joined Rotary, making them one of the few daughter-mother Rotarian teams in District 5930. Later that year, Debbie’s mother sponsored her youngest grandson as a member of Southside Corpus Christi Rotary. Debbie and Joe have two adult sons and two grandchildren. He grew up in Boise, Nampa, and Caldwell. Jim obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the College of Idaho in 1971, a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of West Florida in 1991, and a degree in accounting from Boise State University in May 1993. Jim completed a military career, retiring from the U. S. Air Force in 1991. The majority of his career was devoted to flying. He flew the F-111 as a weapons system operator for over 12 years. The remainder of his career was focused on the development and testing of new aircraft systems. He had the pleasure of spending time in more than 10 states and two countries overseas. Jim Hogge was with the Idaho Small Business Development Center for 20 years. He has served as the State Director of the Idaho Small Business Development Center from 1995 -2013. He retired in Jan 2013 from Boise State University. Jim also helped start the TechHelp program for Idaho manufacturers and the TECenter Incubator at Boise State University. Working with entrepreneurs was always interesting. He has been a member of the Boise Sunrise Rotary Club since 1995. He was the Club’s president 2005-06. He has served the District on the Training Committee and the Awards Committee. As an Assistant District Governor, he served four District Governors from 2008 to 2012. He is a Paul Harris Fellow, Paul Harris Society member, Bequest Society member, and Bob Gibbs Fellow of the Greater Boise Rotary Foundation. Carla and he have been married since 1970. They have two grandchildren, Adella, and Emerson. Adella and Emerson’s parents, Kate and Will Fowler, are members of Rotary in Boise and Nampa, ID. During retirement, they enjoy traveling, camping, skiing, and watching the grandchildren grow. Fredericksburg, TX 78624-6506 H: 830-685-3562 C: 830-456-7323 Judy Hutcherson, RN, was born and raised in Grand Prairie, Texas. She graduated from Del Mar College in Corpus Christi, Texas with an Associate Degree in Nursing in 1980. In 1989 she graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelor Degree in Nursing. After working in various fields of nursing, including Obstetrics, Intravenous Therapy and Oncology she retired from active nursing in 2000 to devote her time to various mission projects. Judy joined the Fredericksburg Morning Rotary in October 2002. She and her husband John are both active members. After serving as Club Service co-chair, Secretary, and International Lane Chair, Judy was elected President of her club in 2007. She also was the GSE team leader from District 5840 to District 2050 in northern Italy, May 2008. Judy has served District 5840 as the World Community Service Chair, Friendship Exchange Chair and Assistant District Governor. She works on District 5840 HungerPlus Adopt-A-Region Committee and is a ShelterBox Representative for District 5840. Judy will be District Governor for District 5840 2016-2017 Judy has been awarded Rotarian of the Year and Service Above Self by her club. She was also awarded the Fredericksburg Chamber of Commerce 2009 Community Service Award. But, her most honored award, given by District 5840, is the coveted RI Service Above Self award in 2009. Judy traveled to Afghanistan in October 2008 to explore Rotary projects there with other Rotarians from the US and Australia. She and her husband John have participated in National Immunization Days and work projects in India in 2009, 2010, 2011 and Pakistan in 2013 and 2015. Judy is very active in the Fredericksburg United Methodist Church and served as the International Coordinator for Volunteers In Mission for the Southwest Texas UMC Conference for 6 years. She provided leadership training for volunteers wanting to lead mission teams to various countries. She led a construction team to Haiti in October 2010 and a medical education team to Russia in October 2012 Judy served as a volunteer, and as a board member for six years, at the Good Samaritan Center in Fredericksburg. She has been an active participant with Mision De Candelilla, a local medical mission, since 1999 and served as chair of the board 2012-2014. Judy has traveled to Guatemala, Haiti, Russia, India, Afghanistan, Australia, Malawi, Pakistan, the Philippines, Europe and many times to Mexico. In all these travels she has realized that people are very much the same the world over and that we could all enjoy many of the same opportunities if only education and health care were available to all. Rotary Zones 21b & 27 District Governors-Elect Institute 2015 Ed & Sandy Jacobson District 5610-Zone 27 Governor 2016-2017 [email protected] 1821 Kennedy Dr. Pierre, SD 57501 H: 605-224-2433 Ed Jacobson began his Rotary journey as a member of the largest club in Eugene, Oregon, where he served as chairman of the Ways & Means Committee in his second year. Since joining the Pierre/Fort Pierre Rotary Club in 1993, Jacobson has served as club secretary, president and, for ten years, executive secretary. He is a Paul Harris Fellow, member of the Paul Harris Society, and a Major Donor to The Rotary Foundation. Ed has served District 5610 has Membership Retention Chair, Assistant Governor, District Trainer and chaired the first District Foundation raffle and co-chaired the second. In 2006 he was named “Outstanding Rotarian” in District 5610 and in 2007 was awarded The Rotary Foundation District Service Award. He is a Rotary Leadership Institute facilitator. Jacobson grew up in Oregon and graduated from Oregon State University. He met his wife Sandy while on a fund-raising consulting job in Pierre. They married in the fall of 1992. Sandy retired from her position as Director of Pharmacy at Avera St. Mary’s Hospital in Pierre in 2015. Most of Jacobson’s professional career was in nonprofit fundraising and management. As a fundraising consultant, he completed 17 jobs in ten different states. He has also served as Press Secretary for an Oregon Congressman, country club manager, and manager of the U.S. Men’s Volleyball Team. Both Ed and Sandy are avid golfers. They distinguished themselves at their home Hillsview Golf Course in Pierre by having the first (Sandy) and last (Ed) holes-in-one of the year in 2015. District Governors-Elect Institute 2015 Dean & Cheryl Kennedy District 5690—Zone 27 Governor 2016-2017 [email protected] 2908 Cabrillo Dr. Winfield, KS 67156 C: 620-212-4107 H: 620-221-1510 Dean has been a Rotarian since 1990 and is a multiple Paul Harris Fellow and sustaining member of the Rotary Foundation. He is a Past President of the Winfield Rotary Club and is excited about 20162017 as District Governor. He is known as “Mr. RYLA” and founded RYLA for District 5690. Dean and his wife, Cheryl, have hosted many GSE team members, Rotary exchange members, Russian Exchange, and youth exchange. In Rotary, you always have a friend regardless of where you travel. Dean and Cheryl have been married for over 42 years and have two daughters, one a veterinarian and one a nurse. They have 6 grandchildren who will all eventually attend RYLA when they are old enough. Family and grandchildren are a huge part of their lives. Cheryl is a cancer survivor and is happy to discuss cancer awareness. Dean is a graduate of Pittsburg State University and Southwestern Graduate Trust School at Southern Methodist University. His vocation spans over 45 years in trust and estate work in banking and he is currently Executive Vice-President and Trust Officer at Community National Bank & Trust in Winfield. His community offices include Chamber of Commerce, Leadership Cowley County, First United Methodist Church, 4-H, Cowley County Fair, American Red Cross, Past President of the Kansas Bankers Association--Trust Division, and many others. Eric is a first generation Chinese American who was born in Taiwan. He moved to the United States after he graduated from St. Dominic’s high school. He served in the Taiwanese Military service from 1983 to 1985. He was honorably discharged from Army after two years of service as First Sergeant. After moving to America from Taiwan, Eric first received his bachelor degree from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas, with a BA in Biology. He went on and received his license as a Medical Technologist and started a private medical laboratory from several groups of primary care physicians. He went back to school for his doctorate degree in 1998 at Texas Chiropractic College. He graduated from TCC with the honor as his class Valedictorian in 2001. He immigrated to Salt Lake City, Utah, with his parents in 1958 due to religious and political unrest in East Germany (DDR) and the restrictions of the communist party. As a child, Shaun cleaned churches with his parents, then he delivered papers until he entered middle school. At that time he cleaned the middle school until entering high school when he then washed dishes three nights a week. Later Shaun became a fry cook at the exclusive Hotel Utah and eventually a waiter in the Skyroom of that hotel. In 1973, Shaun married Annette Stratford from Idaho Falls, Idaho; they have four children, six grand children and claim two more who were their former exchange students. They say behind every great man is a woman rolling her eyes; this would be a true statement for Annette because she helped raise Shaun. In his professional life, Shaun Michel has worked in Real Estate sales since 1974 and now manages a portfolio of rentals along with land in various parts of Utah. Shaun was a Boy Scout Master for five years and served on the Utah Boys Ranch (now Westridge Academy) for 25 years as trustee and past president. He and Annette recently served as transitional missionaries for their church, assisting women transition from jail to life. Now Shaun serves on the Neuroworx Board of Trustees and co-founded the Michel Foundation, LLC. Shaun joined Rotary in 2000 in the South Jordan Club. He likes to serve, play and travel to many obscure places in the world. He also enjoys riding motorcycles, snowmobiles, four wheelers and horses through the majestic mountains and vistas of Utah. Tom lived in several communities in Nebraska, Minnesota and Iowa before graduating from Des Moines Roosevelt High School in 1963. Upon graduation he joined the USAF and after his discharge in 1967 attended Augustana College in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Tom started his business career in 1970, with his two brothers and formed Mortimer Equipment Company, a manufacturer’s representative company, which sold short line farm equipment to implement dealers in South Dakota and Nebraska. In 1977 he purchased the International Harvester dealership in St Paul, Nebraska and owned and managed that business until 1985. In 1985 he started his own insurance agency with Farm Bureau Financial Services. His firm, TRM Insurance Inc, is multi-line agency selling life, health, commercial, farm and personal lines products in the St Paul area. He has won many honors as a top producing agency representing Farm Bureau and he is a lifetime member of their Hall of Fame, which recognizes individual agents for leading the company in production for a minimum of 10 years. Tom is now semi-retired, but is still active in the business. He will be assisting his replacement at least for a couple years, then they will decide if Tom would like to continue on with the business or he and Sheryl will start traveling. Tom joined the St Paul Rotary Club in 1989 and served as the club president 1995-1996. He and his wife, Sheryl, are major donors, Paul Harris Society and Bequest Society members. They have attended nine Rotary International conventions and Tom has volunteered as a Sergeant of Arms for five conventions. Tom and Sheryl have been married since 1999 and between them have six children, 16 grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. Tom is an avid golfer and fisherman and he and Sheryl enjoy traveling and spending time in warmer climates in Arizona and California in the winter time. Barb is Wyoming Production Center Manager for First American Title in Casper. Barb is a currently a member the Casper Five Trails Rotary Club. She initially joined Rotary in Gillette, Wyoming and served as President of the Gillette Rotary Club in 2008-2009. Barb served District 5440 as Co-District Trainer from 2011-2014 and as an Assistant Governor in Northeast Wyoming for 2 years and in Central Wyoming for 2 years. She has been a facilitator at many District Assemblies, at the Rotary Leadership Institute and for High Country PETS. After attending the University of Northern Iowa, where she graduated with degrees in Teaching English and Teaching English as a Foreign Language, she taught junior high and high school for two years. In 1979 she moved to a corporate environment working for Principal Financial Group (PFG) in Des Moines, Iowa for 24 years. There she held several positions over the years, from Technical Writer to management roles and development. She also managed life insurance departments and when she left the company in 2002 was working as a Senior Business Risk consultant, doing internal auditing. Malinda and her husband, Dave, moved to Montana in 2002 where she worked as a Financial Advisor for Waddell & Reed for two years. In 2004 she moved to the Montana Logging Association (MLA), a non-profit association, where she sold and serviced insurance products for the MLA’s logging industry members. In 2014 she retired from MLA. She remains licensed and active in the insurance community, teaching continuing education courses to National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) members. She has also formed an LLC and works occasionally helping out other insurance advisors. Malinda has been married to Dave since 1987. He is a retired pharmacist. They have one daughter and son-in-law with one grandson born in 2013. Malinda became a Rotarian in 2003 and has served as President and Foundation Chairperson of the Rotary Club of Evergreen in Montana. She has also been an Assistant Governor and served in many capacities at the Club and District level. She has been involved volunteering for and serving on the board of various non-profit organizations over the years.
