Accessing Mobile Internet Filter via IDEAS Web
Step 1:
Access www.singtel.com/mobileinternetfilter OR IDEAS Web (ideas.singtel.com)
Step 2:
Login with your IDEAS account. Create one if you do not have one.
Step 3:
Click on SingTel Services icon on the side
navigation

Step 4:
Click on Mobile Internet Filter or the main Mobile Internet Filter banner.
Step 5:
You will see Mobile Internet Filter main page.

Subscribing to Mobile Internet Filter via IDEAS Web
Step 6:
Please read and accept the “Terms and Conditions” by ticking the checkbox.
Step 7:
Select the preferred package from the drop-down menu and click on Subscribe.
A prompt to confirm subscription will displayed. Do note that this service is applicable to SingTel
postpaid customers for both subscriber and users (child/ward).
An acknowledgement prompt will return if the subscription is successful.

Step 1:
Welcome to SingTel Mobile Internet Filter. For 1st time user, you will see the below screen. Click on “Add
Number” to get personalization. .

Step 2:
Enter your child/ward’s name in the User Name box.
Step 3:
Enter their SingTel Mobile / Data SIM Number. You will receive an acknowledgement if the number is added
successfully.
Data SIM Number is needed if you would like to apply Mobile Internet Filter on the child/ward’s tablet.
Not sure what’s the Data SIM Number, please check out your monthly bill OR login to MyAccount (myaccount.singtel.com)
NOTE:
To prevent potential abuse of the service and to protect our customers’ interest, a SMS will be sent to the newly added number
under your Mobile Internet Filter account. Your child/ward will need to reply and acknowledge the service acceptance via the
same SMS within 24 hours before you can start personalizing their profile.
For tablet users who cannot receive SMS, they will have to accept the service via IDEAS mobile.

Step 4:
You will see the below screen with “Pending Permission” status after adding number.
A SMS has been sent to the newly added number. Your child/ward will need to reply and acknowledge the
service acceptance via the same SMS within 24 hours before you can start personalizing their profile.
For tablet users who cannot receive SMS, they will have to accept the service via IDEAS mobile.

For Tablet User, please access ideas.singtel.com/mobile on your
tablet. Click on ST Services > Mobile Internet Filter. You will
see the below Pending Approval message.

You will receive a SMS update upon your child’s acceptance, rejection OR after 24
hours of no reply.

Step 5:
Once the child/ward accepts the service, you will see the below screen with “Permission Given” status. You can
now start personalizing for this child.
Tick on your desired Mobile Internet Filter needed.
• For Content Filter, you can have the option of selecting for “Child Age 12 and below” and “Teens Age 13 – 18” based on the
default recommended content categories.
• For Time Restriction, you can create up to 3 different time profiles based on the day and time when you do not want them to
access internet.
For 1st time user, you will be prompted of customizing your time restrictions after saving. Click on Yes to
proceed.

Step 6:
Select the preferred
user for personalization
from the drop-down
menu .

Step 7:
Select a Time Profile.
You can create up to 3
different time profiles
based on the day and
time when you do not
want them to access
internet for each user.
Step 8:
Enter a preferred Time Profile Name e.g. Weekday or Holiday.
Step 9:
Tick on the Restricted Days e.g. Mon to Fri for Weekday. Please note that the day selected under each Time
Profile is exclusive and cannot be selected for another Time Profile.
Step 10:
Select the desired start time and end time for the restriction times.
Once you are completed, please click Save.

Step 11:
You can opt to receive alerts via
SMS and/or email when there is an
attempt to view block sites by the
users.
By default, the SMS alert option is to your
mobile phone. You can choose to
indicate an alternative mobile number like
your spouse or helper’s number to
receive the SMS alerts.
Please note that by disabling alerts, you
will have no activity logs recorded if there
is an attempt to view blocked sites.
Step 12:
Activity logs are 1 month records of
the blocked sites that the users
have accessed. Select the Start
and End Date, followed by the User
selection before clicking on the
Search button.
You will be able to see the website
address, date and time when the blocked
sites are being accessed.

Upgrading on Mobile Internet Filter via IDEAS Web
Via Mobile Internet Filter on
IDEAS Web, you can have the
option to upgrade your current
plan to include more numbers.
Click on Upgrade Plan found
on Profile Management tab to
subscribe.
You will receive an
acknowledgement if the
upgrade is successful.

Updating a Number on Mobile Internet Filter via IDEAS Web
At any point of time if you would
like to replace an existing
number and its profile, you can
simply select the preferred user
and click on Remove Number
on the Profile Management tab.
Click on Yes at Remove
Number to confirm the removal
of user and its profile.
You will be able to Add Number
for the new number.

Accessing Mobile Internet Filter via IDEAS Mobile
Step 1:
Access www.ideas.singtel.com/mobile on your phone or tablet.
Step 2:
Click on Mobile Internet Filter icon OR SingTel Services, followed by Mobile Internet Filter icon.
(Different mobile devices will display the page differently.) You will see Mobile Internet Filter
main page.

Subscribing to Mobile Internet Filter via IDEAS Mobile
Step 3:
Please read and accept the “Terms and Conditions” by ticking the checkbox.
Step 4:
Select the preferred package from the drop-down menu and click on Subscribe.
A prompt to confirm subscription will displayed. Do note that this service is applicable to SingTel

Step 11:
You can opt to receive alerts via SMS and/or email
when there is an attempt to view block sites by the
users.
By default, the SMS alert option is to your mobile phone. You
can choose to indicate an alternative mobile number like your
spouse or helper’s number to receive the SMS alerts.
Please note that by disabling alerts, you will have no activity
logs recorded if there is an attempt to view blocked sites.
Step 12:
Activity logs are 1 month records of the blocked sites
that the users have accessed. Select the Start and
End Date, followed by the User selection before
clicking on the Search button.
You will be able to see the website address, date and time
when the blocked sites are being accessed.

Upgrading on Mobile Internet Filter via IDEAS Mobile
Via Mobile Internet Filter on
IDEAS Mobile, you can have
the option to upgrade your
current plan to include more
numbers. Click on Upgrade
Plan found on Profile
Management tab to
subscribe.
You will receive an
acknowledgement if the
upgrade is successful.

Updating a Number on Mobile Internet Filter via IDEAS Mobile
At any point of time if
you would like to
replace an existing
number and its profile,
you can simply select
the preferred user and
click on Remove
Number on the Profile
Management tab.
Click on Yes at
Remove Number to
confirm the removal of
user and its profile.
You will be able to Add
Number for the new
number.
