Term 3 Week 6
Dear Parents/Caregivers,
It is very exciting to see so many of our
students ‘Kicking Goals’ in their writing this
term.
Two excited juniors told me today they had
kicked a goal. One was for using full stops and
capital letters correctly in her writing and the
other was about being able to write 5
sentences.
Do you know what your child’s writing goal is
this term? You can be part of your child’s goal
by discussing it with them and encouraging
them to achieve it.

Parents/carers are able to make payments online through our website:
www.batemansba-p.schools.nsw.edu.au
Some parents are already using this system, however there are some rules:
Canteen and Uniform orders - cannot be made on the website as they have separate
funds.
Only school excursions, fees and text book purchases, unless indicate differently in a
note home. Please wait till your child/children's note arrives home indicating the
item description, this will need to be entered during the process of payment.
Permission notes will need to be sent back to school as usual and please indicate the
payment was processed online.
No receipt from school will be provided as you will have the option online.
The new system will be a convenient way of payment and a time saver.
WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECK
A Working with Children Check is a requirement for people who work
or volunteer in child-related work. It involves a national criminal
history check and a review of findings of workplace misconduct. If
you are volunteering your time to help out at our school camps and/or
excursions you will need to have had a WORKING WITH
CHILDREN CHECK. For further information please go to
http://www.kidsguardian.nsw.gov.au/working-with-children/working-with-children-check
The Working With Children Check is fully portable so it can be used for any paid or unpaid
child-related work in NSW for as long as the worker remains cleared. Fees apply for paid
workers, volunteers are free. Please check the website for all the details.

SCHOOL SUCCESS
GOES HAND IN HAND
WITH GOOD
ATTENDANCE.
Children should attend school every day,
except in cases of illness or
emergency. It is impossible to replace the
learning that happens on a school day with
make-up work. So let’s all make it a priority
to get our
Batemans Bay Public School kids to school
ON TIME EVERY DAY!
