Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt DE-24932 Flensburg ALLGEMEINE BETRIEBSERLAUBNIS (ABE) nach § 22 in Verbindung mit § 20 Straßenverkehrs-Zulassungs-Ordnung (StVZO) in der Fassung der Bekanntmachung vom 26.04.2012 (BGBl I S.679) Nummer der ABE: 31108*02 Gerät: Radabdeckung für KRad Typ: H Inhaber der ABE und Hersteller: Powerbronze Ltd. Littlehampton, West Sussex, BN16 3LF England Für die oben bezeichneten reihenweise zu fertigenden oder gefertigten Geräte wird dieser Nachtrag mit folgender Maßgabe erteilt: Die sich aus der Allgemeinen Betriebserlaubnis ergebenden Pflichten gelten sinngemäß auch für den Nachtrag. In den bisherigen Genehmigungsunterlagen treten die aus diesem Nachtrag ersichtlichen Änderungen bzw. Ergänzungen ein. Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt DE-24932 Flensburg 2 Nummer der ABE: 31108*02 Die Ketten- und Radabdeckungen für KRad, Typ H, dürfen auch zum Anbau an den in den beiliegenden Prüfunterlagen aufgeführten Krafträdern unter den dort genannten Bedingungen feilgeboten werden. Bei Verwendung der Geräte an den in den beiliegenden Prüfunterlagen beschriebenen Krafträdern, die mit Einzelbetriebserlaubnis (EBE) nach §21 StVZO in den Verkehr gelangt sind, ist eine unverzügliche Überprüfung des Ein- oder Anbaus der Fahrzeugteile durch einen amtlich anerkannten Sachverständigen oder Prüfer für den Kraftfahrzeugverkehr oder durch einen Prüfingenieur einer Überwachungsorganisation nach Nummer 4 der Anlage VIIIb zur StVZO durchzuführen. Der ordnungsgemäße Ein- oder Anbau ist gemäß §22 Absatz 1 Satz 5 bei der Überprüfung mit positivem Ergebnis zu bestätigen. Nach durchgeführter Abnahme ist die ausgestellte Bestätigung mit dieser ABE und den Fahrzeugpapieren mitzuführen und den zuständigen Personen auf Verlangen auszuhändigen. Letzteres entfällt nach Berichtigung der Fahrzeugpapiere. Im Übrigen gelten die im beiliegenden Nachtragsgutachten der TÜV SÜD Auto Service GmbH, München, vom 16.12.2015 festgehaltenen Angaben. Rechtsbehelfsbelehrung Gegen diese Genehmigung kann innerhalb eines Monats nach Bekanntgabe Widerspruch erhoben werden. Erforderliche Bohrungen sind in den Austauschteilen vorhanden. Verwendungsbereich / Application list siehe Anlage / notice enclosure: 4. 1 Prüfergebnis / Test result Die in Anlage 1 aufgeführten Radabdeckungen wurden gemäß den unter Punkt 2 genannten Prüfungen getestet. Hinterradabdeckungen / Rear Hugger H Schlussbescheinigung / Summary Die Abnahme der Anbauteile durch einen amtlich anerkannten Sachverständigen nach § 19.3 StVZO wird nicht für erforderlich gehalten. An Fahrzeugen -im Verwendungsbereich- mit Einzelzulassung (EBE) muss nach §19(3) StVZO eine Anbauabnahme durchgeführt werden. Das Gutachten verliert seine Gültigkeit bei technischen Änderungen am Fahrzeugteil oder wenn vorgenommene Änderungen an den im Verwendungsbereich beschriebenen Fahrzeugtypen die Verwendung des Teils beeinflussen, sowie bei Änderung der gesetzlichen Grundlagen. Gegen die Erteilung eines Nachtrags bestehen keine technischen Bedenken. Das in der Anlage beschriebene Fahrzeugteil und der darin beschriebene Typ entsprechen der genannten Prüfgrundlage. Der Prüfbericht darf nur vom Auftraggeber und nur in vollem Wortlaut vervielfältigt und weitergegeben werden. Eine auszugsweise Vervielfältigung und Veröffentlichung des Prüfberichtes ist nur nach schriftlicher Genehmigung des Prüflaboratoriums zulässig A check of the installation by an official recognised expert according to §19(3) StVZO is not necessary. The installation on vehicles with single type approval must be checked separately. The approval loses validity in case of: - modification of the technical unit - changes on the vehicles described in the application list, which affect the usage of the technical unit - changes in the testing directives and requirements There are no technical objections against granting an extension. The vehicle component type described in the enclosure is in compliance with the test specification mentioned above. The test report may be reproduced and published in full and by the client only. It can be reproduced partially with the written permission of the test laboratory only. You will need a TRX star bit T25 to remove the original BMW Hugger fixings. A few moments, checking the parts list and familiarising yourself with the kit will make fitting easier. Remove film on your Powerbronze hugger. Insert 3 grommets (1) and 3 spacers (2) into holes in the hugger Clip two pairs of dual lock (5) (6) together and stick them to the underside of hugger. Fit screen trim (7) around the bottom edge of the hugger. Pair Dual Lock Discs Screen Trim Pair Dual Lock Discs Issue 1 Secure hugger to swing arm using 3xM5 washer (3) and 3x M5x25 socket screw (4). All brackets allow adjustment before tightening and the clamp can be slid along swing arm rail to allow larger adjustment. NOTE: Only use the longer screw (M6 X 25) into the swing arm on the chain guard side where bracket mounts. Use the other two longer screws (M6 X 25) on the opposite side to chain guard through the clamp. Fix ‘P’ clip and bracket to swing arm using M6 x 20 socket head screw instead of original screw. See Figure 3. 6) Fix left hand side of hugger to swing arm using 2 M6 x 20 socket heat screws located in original chain guard fixing points as shown in Figure 1. 7) Adjust hugger, check clearances all round and tighten all fixings. Always check alignment of rear hugger and mounting bolt tension periodically. IMPORTANT: MAKE SURE THERE IS ENOUGH CLEARANCE BETWEEN HUGGER AND TYRE. PLEASE NOTE : Powerbronze have tested there is adequate clearance between the hugger and sub frame on the standard machine. We have not tested the huggers clearance with all pannier variations. If you are fitting panniers to this bike, we recommend checking clearance between the pannier frame, boxes and hugger. Fit bracket A0139Z to Right hand side of the swing arm as shown in Fig 2 using 1x M6x10 socket screw. Fix hugger shell using 1 x M6x20 socket screw to swing arm in front mounting hole. Attach hugger to brackets using 1 x M6x20 socket screw and M6 flange nut per bracket. Remove original Rear hugger Remove protective film from hugger (ABS plastic hugger only) Fit three grommets into holes in the hugger shell Fit spacers into grommets Remove brake line bracket Fit right hand bracket underneath the brake line bracket using original bolt.
