Serious Seeds was founded in Holland in 1994
by Simon, a dutch biologist who started to enjoy
cannabis during travels abroad. The company
concentrates on the production of high-quality
varieties of cannabis seeds. We produce small
batches according to the demand, so our seeds

Why are there only 11 strains in the menu?
We develop our varieties ourselves instead
of copying existing strains like most
seedcompanies do. We want to keep quality
high and only release a new variety when it is
stable, consistent and when all seeds grow into
great plants. Our company has over the years
improved our existing varieties. When a variety
is improved, we give the date of improvement
in the catalogue and sell the better product
under the same name, instead of considering
them to be a ‘new’ variety.
How can you be sure of the outstanding

Cannabis Cup’. Nowadays there are several

Indoor or outdoor?
Indoor or outdoor growing is mostly a question
of ‘where do you grow the plant’. All our
varieties are made inside under lights, so all
of our seeds will grow well indoors. Outside
they will grow with great results only if the
weather where you live stays good until the
date given under ‘Outdoor/Greenhouse harvest
time’. In places where rain, wind and the cold
can destroy the plants before they are ready,
you need to get real outdoor varieties like
Biddy Early or Serious 6 (when it is available).

AK-47
The legend itself, more awards

AK- 47
This easy to grow plant is our most popular, because of her great quality AK-47 is often copied or used
by other seedcompanies for crosses. She is of medium height and produces very good yields quite
quickly. Extremely STRONG odour and smoke. The name was given not out of any idea of violence,
but more in association with the ‘one hit wonder’ that the smoke is. After its introduction visitors to
coffeeshops in Amsterdam regularly passed out after a hit of the AK-47. Quality without compromise
makes AK-47 suitable for commercial growth or home use. These plants have a short flowering period
for a mostly sativa, producing compact buds with few leaves that gleam with a coat of resin crystals.
Winning 16 awards(!!!) in Cannabis competitions proves it is a favourite to smoke as well as to
grow. Very strong, long lasting and pleasant High. In 1999 at the Cannabis Cup an independent lab test
proved AK-47 had the highest THC-percentage of all entries that year. Medicinal plant for painrelief. Last awards won by AK-47: 1st prize Treating Yourself Sativa Cup 2010, Toronto, Canada
and 3rd price at the High Times Cannabis Cup 2011 in the hybrid category.

Bubble Gum
The original sweet Bubble

Bubble Gum
Legendary for its sweet smell and euphoric high. Bubble Gum is a medium tall plant, usually not too
branchy (sometimes tall) and producing compact, crystal covered buds. Plants grown from seeds are
very similar to one another. Originally the Bubble Gum was developed by growers in Indiana, USA.
Later those original genetics came to Holland and were given to two seed companies. Each created their
own ‘original Bubble Gum’ from that material. The Serious Bubble Gum is more sativa like in looks and
effect, a sturdy and strong plant, with the characteristic, sweet smell (truly resembling a typical bubble gum taste) and euphoric high; the original trademarks of this famous strain. The only inbred strain
(not F1 hybrid) in the Serious menu. Bubble Gum has won 4 awards at the High Times Cannabis Cup
and even more in similar festivals. In 2004 and 2005 it won 5 local and national Cups in Spain alone!
In 2006 the Bubble Gum received its best award; it became ‘Plant of the year’ by magazine ‘Soft
Secrets’ because many Spanish growers won in local competitions with the same plant: Bubble Gum.

Chronic
Best yielding plant and
great quality bud!
Chronic
Our most commercial variety, this medium height, not too dense plant is the perfect combination
of very good yield and excellent quality. Smokers who know and grow choose this plant for its
combination of appearance and sweet smell. With its Indica background Chronic can produce up to
600 g/m2 without losing that connoisseur feeling. Grows a single huge central bud with few side
branches. Topping of plants to encourage multiple big side buds is possible, but the total yield can be a
little less. A sweet smell develops while flowering and this aroma will be maintained in the finished
weed, if it is dried well before packaging. Packaging it before it is thoroughly dry will destroy the
subtle fragrance forever, making it mediocre weed. Of all our strains, this is the best choice for growers
tired of losing quality when increasing yield. Winner of the 3rd prize High Times Cannabis Cup in
1994, improved in 2000. 1st prize Highlife Cup Spain 2004 (by Mundo Ganja, Alicante). 2nd prize

Kali Mist

Kali Mist
Arguably the top Sativa strain available today. Kali Mist grows into classical Sativa plants with
very few leaves, producing much higher yields than you would expect. This strain produces dense
clusters of full spirally buds, with a high resin content and a delightfully spicy scent. The open
plant structure with few leaves allows the light to pass all the way to lower branches, allowing
bottom buds to develop fully. Kali Mist is medicinally used against chronic pains like back aches
and as a mood enhancer. Women particularly like this plant as a relief against monthly cramps.
She gives a very strong, clear and energizing High. Kali Mist was improved in 2000. The latest and
also best version won 10 of the 11 cups behind the name ‘Kali Mist’. When planted outside early
in the year this plant can grow very tall. Grown outdoors in Spain she proved to be very mold
resistent, even during rains. Kali Mist won a 1st prize Cannabis Cup 1995, 1st prize Cannabis Cup
2000, 3rd prize High Life Spain 2004, 1st prize Seedcup 2008 in Bologna, Italy, 1st prize at the IbizaCup 2009 in Spain. Latest award: 1st price Cannabis Champions Cup 2012 in Barcelona, Spain.

White Russian
AK- 47 X White Widow,
two legends combined
White Russian
These seeds produce strong, fast growing plants that are fantastic in appearance and effect. Very
popular also for outdoor growing in Spain, France and Italy. Our most typically Indica strain, White
Russian is a stable cross of AK-47 and White Widow. Medium height, consistent ‘not too leafy’ plants
and dense, very resinous flower tops (crystals appear after about 5 weeks of flowering). The plants
smell quite strong during both their growth and flowering period. In an independent seed comparison
in which over 150 different seed strains were grown out in the U.K., the White Russian came out
as the strongest plant. Winner of the overall Cannabis Cup in 1996, Cup for Best Bio Grass in
1997 and 1st prize Indoor, El Punto Cup 2005, Málaga in Spain. The plants yield very powerful
buds, coated with resin. Very strong, long lasting High, more cerebral than a knockout, this plant is an
excellent medicinal plant against pain! Last award won by White Russian: 2nd place in the extractcategory of the Highlife Cup 2013 in Amsterdam, Holland.

Fast flowering Sativa with
pink pistils!
Serious 6
Serious 6 was created by mixing genetics from Canada with Sativa-landraces from Africa through a
long process of selection and cross-breeding. We wanted to create a strain, which is very mold-resistant
and will finish EARLY outdoors in a humid and cold climate at the end of September. Outdoors
she grows tall and slender with full buds with very few small leaves and a particularly thick layer of
cristals. Half of the plants will show beautiful pink pistils.At the end of flowering these pink colors
are sub-stituted by purple colors of the calyxes and leaves. The Serious 6 is an almost pure Sativa with
a veryshort flowering time. She will fill up and produce dense long buds glistening with trichomes.
The aroma of Serious 6 is built up in layers; citric, anise, spicy are only a few of the recognizable
aromas. Her effect is a cristal clear head-high, which will get you active and creative. At the Spannabis
2013 an indoor bud was tested at the CANNA-lab with 17% THC, that was the highest measured
THC-content of ALL strains tested that day! Right after its market-release Serious 6 won its
first award: 2nd Place at the Highlife Cup in Amsterdam in the category BIO-weed and in Sept.
it won third place Sativas at the Expogrow Cup in Irun, Spain.

The Warlock was the flagship strain of Magus
Genetics and has in itself a somewhat legendary
status. Serious Seeds is very proud to welcome this
pure bred ‘stallion’ in its stable. The Warlock won
immediately a High Times Cannabis Cup at its
debut in 1997 and has never been entered after that.
It is an Afghani/Skunk-hybrid, which was selected for its special taste and high. Although indica
dominant, this plant really combines some of the
best Indica and Sativa characteristics. Short and
bushy during veg. period, but grows huge compact
buds with few leaves in flowering. Few medium
sized leaves with a massive amount of flowers
make the Warlock easy to manicure. The clear white
pistils change to a tan/pinkish color when ripe.
Strong sweet smell with a tinge of sour, reminds
of fresh fruits. The effect is a strong high, which is
felt more in the head than in the body.
Indoor flowering time: 55 - 60 days
Outdoor/Greenhouse harvest time: November
This short/squad Indica plant is the final creation
of a long process. The parental lines combine old
plants like Starwarz and Medizin Power into this
ideal indoor plant. A thick layer of resin glands on
the flowers and single leaves, makes manucuring
less necessary, and gives her a popular presence
in every grow room. Excellent for indoor and
closet rooms with limited height. A powerful
aroma; sweet with undertones reminding of
fresh paint, developes during flowering. The
effect after smoking is an overwhelming body
stonedness, nailing you to the couch while your
mind is fueled with creative ideas. Executing
them however will have to wait until the effects
wear off. Any ‘boring’ feelings will fall away
after a hit of Motavation! This plant has strong
medicinal properties for pain-relief.

Double Dutch is a cross between a Warlock male
and a Chronic female. During vegetative growth,
Double Dutch shows its Indica side with its wide
leaves, heavy stem and a bushy growth pattern. In
the flowering stage Double Dutch produces giant
Sativa-like buds, like its mother the Chronic. All
tips that receive enough light will form huge buds
similar to elongated popcorn balls. Double Dutch
buds must be staked due to their heavy weight.
Performs well in bio, coco and hydro mediums.
The Double Dutch aroma is a pleasant fruity wildflower scent. The effect is complex and strong;
the cerebral high and pleasant bodily effect gave
this plant several awards. In combination with its
high yield a must try for all Serious growers.

Biddy Early is our outdoor variety especially
for the Dutch humid and cold climate. It can
easily reach 2 meters of height in a normal
outdoor season. Its relatively early finishing
time combined with a good resistance against
molds make it very suitable for outdoor grows in
the Dutch and similar climates. This very easy to
grow plant is perfect for the inexperienced grower
and therefore our ‘Startersmodel’. The price of
this variety is kept extra low to give beginners
and people with smaller budgets the chance
to also grow a strain of Serious quality. Most
plants will show red and purple colors under low
temperatures. The aroma is a mix of an unfamiliar
earthy scent and a sweet candy taste which gives
a surprisingly pleasant and powerful high. Some
people claimed it was the best they ever smoked.

Autoflowering Cannabis varieties
Autoflowering Cannabis varieties are plants which will always start to flower after just a few weeks of
growing. They will flower even under 24 hours of light and will continue to do so until the end of their
life. Their lifespan is genetically fixed; after a certain amount of time they will stop growing more
flowers and die. When the white hairs (pistils) have changed color and the flowers swell and ripen, it is the
time to harvest. Autoflowering varieties are easy because they do not need any special care or techniques
to make them flower. They are ideal for growers; a) with little or no experience, b) who want short
plants indoors, c) who want to harvest outdoors multiple times a year, or d) want to grow plants in
northern climates.
The breeders who first came out with autoflowering strains created a new chapter in Cannabis history.
Although interesting and promising, the development of fine autoflowering strains has not reached its
full potential yet. Serious Seeds wants to contribute to the development of this new category of seeds
and is also experimenting with autoflowering plants. Selection, breeding and production of autoflowering
plants is a totally different process compared to breeding ‘normal’ Cannabis plants. Autoflowering seeds
will, as a result of those differences, show variation from generation to generation. The idea is that our
autoflowering seeds will improve over time, a process in which feedback of customers is appreciated to
help guide our selection criteria. Many autoflowering versions of our strains White Russian and AK-47
have been sold by others, trying to benefit from their popular names. We are not responsible for seeds
sold by brands other than Serious Seeds, even if they have similar names.

From seed to finished plant: mostly 70 up to 80 days
Yield per plant: 15 - 20 gr.

This description really tells what to expect if
you grow these seeds. Although this autoflowering
variety is not perfect yet, the quality of the final
product may surprise you. A quite uniform final
heigth of 70 to 90 cm is normal, but factors like the
strength of light a plant receives, or growing in small
pots can influence the height a lot. Autoflowering
White Russian #1 is not 100% uniform yet. Some
plants have an open bud structure and will yield
less, but most plants grow more compact buds and
yield 10 to 20 grams or more. The more light they
receive during their life, the better the endresult will
be. All plants will be beautifully covered in a layer
of trichomes. Most plants will finish between 70 75 days while some need a little longer, up to 80
days. Outside in Holland during lasting periods
of bad weather we saw that the leaves of plants
may show spots of powdery mildew when they are
almost ready. This can lead to bud rot, especially
if wet conditions maintain. So we advise to check
them daily under these conditions. If during rainy
weather harvest time approaches; check for signs of
fungus and cut them rather early than late. We hope
to improve this variety even more over time, but the
taste and potency of Autoflowering White Russian
#1 is so satisfactory that we decided to put it on the
Serious’ menu. We hope that she will in time become
another Serious’ classic on our menu.

Glossary

Indica - referring to type of plant which are short, time. If bigger plants are wanted; make the grow time
bushy, leafy with broad leafs, grows a dense, compact last longer as recommended.
