The Humber Arboretum was
started through the initiative
of Humber College horticulture
students in 1977. Its purpose
is to facilitate research and
education, establish and
maintain living plant
collections, promote
conservation and restoration
practices, and provide a
quality visitor experience. It is
a joint venture of the City of

WEDDING CEREMONY
RATES
The Humber Arboretum is a unique and
natural space, offering an intimate setting
surrounded by nature. We can
accommodate gatherings of 100 people
and under, in the midst of stone, wood, and
floral aesthetics.
Includes:
- Set up of chairs and the use of indoor
sound system (Sound system will not be
operated by our staff, it will only be
provided if needed)
- Signing table, table cloth not provided
- Use of building for indoor ceremony in
the case of inclement weather
- Two hour photography permit
All proceeds go towards ecological education
programs and the upkeep of the Arboretum gardens
and land.

The Main Ceremony Space provides
a natural space for mid-sized events.
With a great view of our surrounding
forest, Carolinian region florals, and
natural stonework, this space is the
perfect spot to get married!

The Spotlight
This deck overlooks a spectacular view of the Arboretum,
including our ponds, manicured gardens, and forest. This location
is a wonderful space for an intimate ceremony.

Wonder
Trees, check! Stone, check! This is
the ultimate location for nature
lovers. In the middle of the forest,
this spot provides an ever changing
seasonal backdrop.

Centre for
Urban
Ecology
The Centre for Urban Ecology offers a
beautiful view of nature in the city! Our
building has achieved the LEED®
(Leadership in Energy and Environmental
Design) Gold Certification, which
distinguishes building projects that have
demonstrated a commitment to
sustainability by meeting the highest
performance standards.
Includes:
- Set up of chairs and the use of indoor
sound system (Sound system will not be
operated by our staff, it will only be
provided if needed)
- Projection Screen
- Low Power Projector
- TV Screen
- HDMI Cable
- Other A/V equipment can be rented for an
additional cost
- Signing table, table cloth not provided
- Two hour photography permit

Wedding Photography
A photo permit is included with all ceremony bookings, but if you’re
having the ceremony somewhere else, you are welcome to take your
wedding photos here at the Arboretum! Permits may be applied for
with our Wedding Photography Permit form. Including H.S.T the cost
of the permit is $250 in the summer season (Oct 16 to May 31) and
$175 in the off season (June 1 to Oct 15) for 2 hours. Payment can
be made by cash or cheque in person, or by Visa/Mastercard over
phone. Every additional hour is $50.
BOOKING & PAYMENT
A signed contract outlining the details of your event and a
non-refundable 25 per cent deposit is required to confirm your
booking. The balance of the total rental fee must be received 10
days prior to the event date. Payment may be made by VISA ,
MasterCard or personal cheque.
ACCESS & HOURS
Access to your event space is permitted only after full payment is
made and a signed copy of the contract is received by Humber
Arboretum.
Business hours are from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday to Friday. The
garden is a public space however, and is open during daylight hours.
