A mixed salad as a starter and then some proteins such as steak with rice and green beans. Ingredients I really love? A good virgin olive oil. What I like to eat most after a match? Good pasta with Bolognese or vegetables and tuna tomato sauce. Easy High National Team: Brazil Club Team: AC Milan Recipe: Black Bean Brazilian Stew Ingredients: 2 teaspoons vegetable oil 1 small onion, chopped 50g chorizo sausage, chopped 75g cooked ham, cut into cubes or slices 1 clove of garlic, chopped 3 medium (approx. 450g) sweet potatoes peeled and cut into cubes ½ a large red pepper, cut into cubes (seeds removed) 1 400g tin of chopped peeled tomatoes with juice ½ a small hot green chilli pepper, finely chopped (seeds removed if a mild stew is preferred) 1 400g tin of black beans, drained ½ a mango, peeled, stone removed and cut into cubes 2 tablespoon of fresh coriander, chopped Pinch of salt Preparation: Heat the vegetable oil in a medium sized pot over a medium heat. Add the onions and stir-fry them for about 2 minutes or until they are soft. Add the chorizo, ham and garlic and cook for about 2 to 3 minutes. Mix in the sweet potatoes, red pepper, tomatoes with juice and green chilli pepper. Add approx. ½ cup of water (120 ml) and bring all to a boil. When boiling reduce the heat to low, cover the pan with a lid and simmer for about 15 minutes more until the sweet potatoes are tender. Stir the black beans into the pot, and cook uncovered until the beans are heated through. Add some more water (approx. ¼ cup or 60 ml) if the mixture seems too dry or thick. Stir in the mango and fresh coriander. Taste and add salt if needed.
