Printed in Belgium INTRODUCTION The 2012 ManagEnergy directory European Energy Agencies is a key element of the ManagEnergy initiative. Local and regional energy agencies have considerable influence on local energy policy and decision making. These agencies support the introduction of good energy-management practices, promote the concept of sustainability, provide information and guidance and offer a number of other services based on specific local needs. The directory of European Energy Agencies 2012 provides contact details of such energy agencies across Europe for easier communication and networking. This directory includes contact details of 448 agencies in 32 countries. These contact details are kept up to date constantly on www.managenergy.net. This new edition features a presentation by type of energy agency which should help you in finding the right energy agency for your projects. The energy agencies are divided into the following categories: • National: distinguishing between central (NC) and regional branches (NR), if any • Associations of energy agencies (A) • Regional (R) • Provincial (P) • Local (L) In addition, the ManagEnergy website hosts an interactive map where you can locate all these energy agencies.
