October 20 – Program: Mike Babb
Mr. Mike Babb came
to talk to the club
about the Freeport
Exemption Tax.
Whitfield is the ONLY
county along
Interstate 75 that
does not have
Freeport Tax
Exemption, and is
only 1 of 15 counties
in the state without
the exemption.
Mike Babb shows the club an article from the
Newspaper about the Freeport Exemption Tax.
The lack of this exemption causes Whitfield County to miss our on a
lot of business b/c business owners will choose a county/city over
Whitfield/Dalton so they won’t have to pay the taxes on their leftover
inventory.
