Operating Instructions
Operating Instructions for
Potty Scotty® and Potty Patty®
We recommend that you familiarize yourself with how the doll operates. Try
feeding and making the doll go potty before the “Big Day”. The risk of operating
the doll for the first time on the “Big Day” is that things may not go smoothly
and your child may lose interest and enthusiasm that you have built up for this
great day.
Planning and preparation are part of the potty
training in one day process.
1. Potty Scotty® and Potty Patty® can ONLY DRINK WATER.
Juice, lemonade, milk, soft drinks or any other sugared drinks are
unsuitable because they could block the insides of the doll.
2. Fill the bottles.
a. Get a tall wide mouth glass and fill it with water.
b. Squeeze the air out of the bottle and turn it upside down in the glass of water.
c. The bottle will end up about half full.
d. Hold the bottle upright, squeeze the bottle again, until water comes out of the top and then reinsert it in the glass of water.
e. This time, the bottle should be completely full.
f. Repeat for second bottle.
3. Feed the doll

a. Gently insert the bottle in the doll’s mouth
b. Do NOT force it all the way in.
c. Gently squeeze the bottle to feed the doll.
d. DO NOT squeeze too hard. The doll is designed to be fed slowly.
e. Allow the air to come back out and re inflate the bottle as you feed the doll.
BEST POSITION OF DOLL FOR FEEDING:
Doll is at an angle of 45 to 90 degrees vertical. Hold doll around the neck
and shoulder.

d. If you have enough water in the doll, you should get a nice stream of “urine”.
e. 1.5 to 2 full bottles of water – will enable the doll to urinate long enough to show your child what is happening. This should happen with 4-5 gentle squeezes to the doll’s leg.
f. If the doll starts sputtering make sure and move the leg to a
horizontal position where water can flow down and out the leg.
5. Empty the Doll when done.
a. We recommend that you empty the doll after you are done with it.
b. Basically, squeeze the leg a number of times until the doll’s leg is
completely empty. The last bit of water will sputter out and will make some noise.
c. We recommend that you do this when your child is NOT watching.
d. You may have to tip the doll sideways – i.e. allowing gravity to help all the water flow out.
e. A few final squeezes and the doll leg should be empty.

PLEASE NOTE:
The doll’s “wet on command” feature functions best by using gravity to help the
water flow into the leg while feeding. If the doll is fed with the legs in a horizontal
position (i.e. doll is lying or sitting), the doll may experience early void. 4. Make the doll go potty.
a. Gently pull down the doll’s underwear while the doll’s leg is straight down.
b. Move the doll’s leg to a horizontal or sitting position.
c. Place doll over a potty or toilet and squeeze the doll’s thigh’s very gently.
