An “unveiled" look at our speaker and worship leader:
Elaine Bonds has been a member of the CBC family and served CBC women for
over 20 years. She facilitates and coaches in CBC’s PLACE program to help others
discover how God has uniquely wired and gifted them. Elaine believes her PLACE
of serving God most effectively is when she speaks “unveiled” with women,
sharing how God continues to use her failures and weaknesses to bring about
good. She is a graduate of She Speaks, a Proverbs 31 Conference for speakers and
writers. She is close to completing her Master of Arts in Biblical Studies through
Dallas Theological Seminary. Elaine’s desire for the retreat is to equip women in
practical ways to live “unveiled” in order to better reflect the Lord’s glory.

Kara Davis, our Worship Leader, lives in Arlington, VA with her husband and
three kids. She has been involved in theater and music since she was a
young child and studied musical theater at Shenandoah University. Kara has
been on the music team at Grace Community Church for 14 years and has
served as a worship leader for the past five. Currently Kara leads worship
for the youth with her husband, Matt. Kara’s hope and prayer for the retreat is that we would all find and have a deeper understanding of our true
worth in the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. Hallelujah, how loved must we be!
