The University of Akron’s Off-Campus Student Services Office (OCSS) will be continuing to work with OffCampus Mobile 101 (OCM101), to better promote all of the off campus merchants (Housing, Food, Retail, Other) in
the surrounding university area.
OCM101 has a number of on-campus promotional opportunities for your business which include:
• Annual Off-Campus Guide
• Off-Campus Mobile Website & App ( www.UAkronOffCampus.com)
• Social Media Posts: ( www.twitter.com/UAkronOffCampus)
• Student Email Opportunities
• On & Off-Campus Events
It is important for students to know about off campus housing options, as well as restaurants, shops, and services in
our community. Off Campus Mobile 101 seeks to consolidate merchant specials, merchant promotions, discounts,
specials, and other relevant information for UA students.
Below we have listed some of the places we will be distributing the off-campus guides on-campus throughout the
year. These guides will also be at various high traffic off-campus locations to better inform all students about the offcampus community.
• Distribute to students and staff at housing fairs.
• Place guides in magazines racks in OCSS resource room & lounge.
• Distribute at the Good Morning and Good Evening Commuter
programs.
• Provide a copy for incoming resident students placed on wait list.
• Provide copies to the UA Law program to mail to all admitted students.
• Distribute at student orientations including:
◦ New Student Orientations
◦ Adult Transfers
◦ Veterans
◦ International Students
