Keel/hull joint is designed to minimize damage in an accidental grounding. Keel: 900 pounds (408kg) of cast lead, deep fin design. Narrow, with advanced foil shape for superior windward performance. Faired and polished for optimum performance. Rudder: High aspect ratio and very deep 3'7" (1.1m) balanced design provides excellent control and maneuverability, even under spinnaker in strong winds. Inboard location for protection and to retain the same light feel at all angles of heel. Laminated curved tiller. Rigging: 75% fractional rig is responsive, makes handling easier. Tapered and anodized aluminum mast. Elliptical mast section is keel stepped. Swept, foil shaped spreaders, adjustable backstay and moveable mast blocking at the partners permit fine tuning. Adjustable mainsheet traveler located amidships for easy access. Running rigging is modern high-tensile Dacron fiber. Sails: Dacron mainsail and 100% Dacron jib. Standard Cunningham, outhaul, traveler, jib halyard tension control and jib leads provide complete sail shaping ability. Spinnaker with tapered racing spinnaker pole is also standard. Hardware: Boat is shipped “race ready,” equipped with top quality marine hardware —Harken, Ronstan, etc. Deck and cockpit fittings are mounted with stainless steel fasteners.
