A Message From The President
JUNE 2015
We had a great turnout at the Parade of Homes
this year despite the weather. I want to say thank
you to our Parade of Homes committee for the
tremendous effort they put into planning this
year’s event, it was amazing! I also want to thank
our many sponsors, without your support it would
not be possible. I encourage our builder members
to start planning for next year as the committee
has already begun preparations for next year
with the commitment of our 2016 Title Sponsor.
The 2016 Parade of Homes will be on Mother’s Day
Weekend and the weekend to follow.
Earl Abbott (City of Killeen) and Steve Philen (City of Harker Heights) will be sponsoring
the June 18th general membership meeting; presentation will be on 2015 IRC changes.
In April I attended the meetings that were held at the City of Killeen; I would highly
recommend that you attend the June meeting to familiarize yourselves with the changes
that will be coming in the near future.
The 2015 Golf Tournament will be held on October 15th. If you attended last year you
know if was a packed course with tons of prizes, I anticipate that this year’s tournament
will be even bigger. Be on the lookout for team signups and sponsorship if you would like
to participate.

2015 Alton Heiner Fish Fry
A sellout crowd was in attendance for this year’s event. The reverse raffle was a great success with all tickets selling out! This year, we had prizes for the top 10 winners along
with additional auction items.
A big thank you to our Big Catfish Sponsor, First Community Mortgage, who made sure everyone was greeted at teh door and welcomed to the event. They also did a superb
job of decorating this year in keeping with our event them. We would also like to thank our Tackle and Bait Sponsors, James Hardie Products, Western Insurance Agency, and
Monteith Abstract & Title.
Congratulations to our top 5 winners, JoAnn Purser and partners, nancy hennigan and partners, Jimmy Alexander, and James Herring. They battled back and forth for the
winning tickets and had a lot of fun in the process.
And as always, Jimmy Parker and crew fried up the best catfish, fries and hushpuppies that anyone could ask for!
Thanks to The Sweet Factory for the dessert table this year which was a new addition to our event. It was filled with delicious treats.
It was great to see the camaraderie and the fabulous turnout for this event. CTHBA would like to extend our gratitude to all who participated and made this event a success.
