A pristine wilderness park on Tarboo Bay. Accessible only by boat. Take only pictures, leave only footprints.
Parking for the Larry Scott Trail, restroom, single track bike trails, views, horse trails, easy access.

the historic Jefferson County Courthouse.

HJ Carroll is our newest and most developed park. One of our two beautiful shelters are perfect for any size
event such as a wedding, family reunion or birthday party. The park features athletic fields, BMS bike track,
fitness walking path, Chimacum Creek Access, playground, disc golf course, native plant gardens, restroom,
basketball courts, horse shoe courts, labyrinth, picnic areas and much more. The park is supervised 24 hours a

Playground, restrooms, views. Campground open April 1 through October 31. 24 campsites. $20 per night; 6
sites with electricity at $25.00 per night.. Maximum vehicle length: 30 ft. No alcohol.
2016 Camping Season
Lower Oak Bay and Upper Oak Bay campgrounds: April 1 to Oct. 31.
Additional vehicles $10.00. Bicycle only in non-utility sites $10.00.
Quilcene campground: Year round. One vehicle, one trailer, one tent, or
two vehicles, one tent. Maximum vehicle length: 30 ft. Each camp site
has a fire pit.
Campsites are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Day use
parks are open from dawn to dusk. More information on the parks can
be found online at www.countyrec.com (see Facilities) or by calling
360 385-9129.
Wedding & Event Planners: Consider H.J. Carroll’s covered
Rotary Pavilion or the Wild Olympic Salmon Shelter.
No alcohol in the parks or campgrounds unless pre-approved
and a state banquet permit is obtained.
