Flexible Impeller Clutch Pumps
Pumps & Plumbing
Clutch pumps combine:
Unique advantages of self-priming flexible impeller Jabsco pump & a
clutch-drive mechanism to engage or disengage pump as needed.
Available with either manual or electric clutches for use versatility.
Generally they are powered by propulsion engines but may be driven
by any adequate source of belt drive power.
Clutch will "free wheel" with power source until pump is required.
Then, clutch can be engaged to throw pump into operation for emergency or general circulation needs.
Port sizes from 1"- 2" NPT & offer flow rates of 26 gallons per
minute to 83 gallons per minute.
All clutch pumps are built with bronze pump bodies & rotarymechanical face seals for long life in heavy duty marine uses.
Equipped with replaceable brass cam/wearplate to prolong service.
Removable end cover for easy impeller replacement without having
to remove plumbing or drive belt.
Ideal for bilge pumping, live-well circulation, deck wash-down
& many commercial or pleasure boat general pumping needs.
Electric Clutch Pumps
Electromagnetic clutch pumps equipped with a powerful electric clutch for convenient remote operation.
Each size pump is available in either 12, 24, or 32 volt models.
Capable of operating through a wide range of speeds and in either rotational direction.

Manual Clutch Pumps

Suitable for uses like bait tank circulation for extended periods of time.
Has the ability to adjust or stop flow as needed.
Centrifugal Pumps: Not self-priming & should be installed below the
source so there is a flooded situation at the inlet port.
• Limited pressure capacity; to ensure maximum flow, it is advisable
to keep total system restrictions to a minimum.
Centrifugal Puppy:
Use as a livewell circulator or diesel fuel transfer pump.
• May be installed directly on seacock & thru-hull fitting or
further along the piping system.
• Intake & outlet ports have 3/4" internal pipe thread.

Pumps are a positive displacement design with an off-center eccentric
rotor whose vanes slide inward & outward, as they move from top
to bottom of the bore; this action creates a vacuum to pull liquid
into the pump.
• Designed for diesel fuel & lightweight oils.
• Do not pump liquid containing solids or debris.
• Several models available with low voltage DC or 115 volt AC
motors.
• Low voltage model with integral on-off reversible switch to change
flow direction is available.
DC Vane Puppy
Vane Puppy operates by the rotary sliding vane principle.
• Has vectra rotor & vanes that are designed to handle oil or diesel fuel transfer.
