It is an exhibition about the positive, “official” stories that followed rescuing the danish jews during WW2 on one hand and then the dark, individual and hidden stories on the other. “Exhibitiondesigner Anne Schnettler has skilfully shed light on positive and difficult features involved in this second phase of the escape of the Danish Jews during World War 2 – the homecoming.” Review danish newspaper Idea sketch: The three luminous cylinders in the room reveales darker stories inside. And it is the idea behind Whirlwind of time - the welcome installation at the newly built Museum Møntergården in Odense/DK. REFERENCES & CV · ANNE SCHNETTLER · SCENOGRAPHER/DESIGNER/ARCHITECT· 4 Whirlwind of time • realising welcomeinstallation • møntergården • odense • 2013 Outside, inside, first, last and in between - as a constant, that follows the guest throughout the visit in the new museum building, this suspended vortex of circular things from different times is seen from all angels and includes a storytelling soundtrack. “You have created something like a “museum DNA thread” in the heart of our new museum - splendid!.” Asger Lorentzen • Head of exhibition Odense Bys Museer REFERENCES & CV · ANNE SCHNETTLER · SCENOGRAPHER/DESIGNER/ARCHITECT· 5 JORN & POLLOCK revolutionary roads art exhibition • louisiana • nov 2013 With a number of masterpieces from the postwar art scene the exhibition was a compilation of two radical and revolutionary giants - an American legend and a Danish icon. In order to show these unique, yet demanding artworks in a suitable way, the exbitiondesign wished to combine classical white framed displays with exhibitionspaces where an experimenting mode of expression, choice of materials and workview was used. “The exhibition is both elegant, inviting and subtle with some fine juxtapositions...” * * * * * * Top review in Danish newspaper REFERENCES & CV · ANNE SCHNETTLER · SCENOGRAPHER/DESIGNER/ARCHITECT· 6 “Turning the dock” architecture exhibition • Maritime Museum/DK• 2013 Design, curating and producing the opening exhibition about the fascinating architecture (created by BIG - Bjarke Ingels Group) and challenging proces when turning the dock into a comtemporary museum. In a suspended, apparently random but light tone the idea was to show glimpses of the process of transformation, so that in this sloping and internally lit room one could zap around and learn more about a unique piece of architecture. Congratulation! In your exhibition the substance really “plays along” within the room. David Zahle - responsible architect from BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group) REFERENCES & CV · ANNE SCHNETTLER · SCENOGRAPHER/DESIGNER/ARCHITECT· 7 Lighthouse Røsnæs nature/landscape exhibition • røsnæs • 2013 Røsnæs is a favorite outdoor recreation area with special natural and historical military qualities. Exhibitions in a bunker and a lighthouse merge here with nature experiences, so the stories inside and out enrich each other and improve recreational opportunities on the site. A room with “underwater” atmosphere, including hidden “wreck stories”, “glass drops” to indicate traces in a huge outdoor landscape model and app-workshop facilities are part of the results for this permanent exhibition. “Amazing Røsnæs ... The exhibition is made with sound effects, films, app-workshop and much more, definitely worth a visit.” TV review REFERENCES & CV · ANNE SCHNETTLER · SCENOGRAPHER/DESIGNER/ARCHITECT· 8 selfportrait art exhibition • louisiana • sept 2012 150 self-portraits (paintings, photos, videos, sculptures) by 64 internationally significant artists of the 20th - 21st century. The exhibitiondesign consisted of black coherent horizontal and vertical communication band, which also served as the distance barriers. And additionally airy walls to facilitate visual connection from one room to the next. These subtle and simple design was deliberately choosen in order to leave space for the wide range of artistic egos and expressions. “... and the exhibitiondesign by Anne Schnettler is perfect.” From welcome speach by director Poul Erik Tøjner “A strong and important exhibition.” * * * * * * top reveiw in danish newspaper Berlingske Tidende REFERENCES & CV · ANNE SCHNETTLER · SCENOGRAPHER/DESIGNER/ARCHITECT· 9 Space and form Robert Jacobsen 100 years art exhibition • kunsten art museum/aalborg • 2013 A retrospective exhibition including more than 200 sculptures. The main challenge was how to show a wide range of Robert Jacobsens artistic works in a cronological and appealling way and at the same time make them “play long” with the very sculptural, strong architecture created by Alvar Alto. “The exhibition ... is very, very good, tight and beautifull ... not least because of a well balanced orchestration performed by exhibition architect Anne Schnettler.“ Top review in danish newspaper Børsen REFERENCES & CV · ANNE SCHNETTLER · SCENOGRAPHER/DESIGNER/ARCHITECT· 10 klee & cobra - A CHILDS PLAY art exhibition • cobra museum • amstelveen/nl • 2012 Through archive material and 230 artworks this exhibition focused on the fascination within the childish original expression shared by Paul Klee and The Cobra Group. The desire to create intimacy and tranquility around smaller and delicate paperworks in the 1200 square meters large exhibition space and yet a meaningful visual connection between the artworks by Klee and The Cobra Group were decisive for a complex exhibitiondesign. The black part of the exhibition included the arthistorical backbone - and was a central turningpoint in the exhibitionspace. "The exhibition 'Klee and Cobra - a childs play' ... was an absolute visitor record for the museum. Never before have so many people been there for an exhibition. ... It scored a wide array of laudatory expressions in the media, both nationally and internationally."
