2010-2011 GTAR Board Nominees
Tom Allen
Thomas E. “Tom” Allen is owner of T.E.
Allen, REALTORS® and has been a REALTOR®
member since 1973, specializing in
residential appraising. Tom is managing
owner of Thomas E. Allen Appraisals, LLC
and has been appraising since 1971. Tom has
served as President of the Tulsa Chapter of
the American Society of Appraisers, Tulsa's
Multiple Listing Service, and Relocation Appraisers and Consultants,
Inc. Tom is a certified residential appraiser in Oklahoma, a
member of the NAR Appraisal Section (RAA), and a Certified
Relocation Professional (CRP). Tom is President of Solddata, Inc.
providing proprietary data to appraisers in Springfield, Missouri
and Tulsa, Oklahoma. Tom has served on NORES Bylaws, Rules
& Regulations, Professional Standards, Data Systems, Appraisal,
Intellectual Property Rights, Appraisal Data Task Force, NORES
Nominating, and Appraisal Records Database Committees. Tom is
a 1968 graduate of Missouri State University, a Vietnam veteran,
and a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans.
Scott Carter
Scott Carter is currently the Vice President
and General Manager for ERA John Hausam
REALTORS®. Scott has been licensed since
October 1, 2001, and a broker since 2006.
Scott has served on GTAR's Public Relations and
Building Committees, and has participated
in several taskforce panels for GTAR. He is
currently serving on OAR's Legislative Committee. Scott has
also participated in the local Habitat for Humanity and is an
active supporter of MDA helping to raise thousands of dollars.

Lee Cohen
Lee Cohen is currently CFO and co-owner
of Chinowth & Cohen Realtors®. A veteran
in the real estate industry with over 25
year’s experience, Lee has a proven record
for successfully marketing residential and
commercial properties. In the 1990’s Lee
owned a commercial brokerage in Miami,
Florida. It was during this time he created a REIT (Real Estate
Investment Trust) which went public in 1996. In 1999, upon
his arrival in Tulsa, Lee worked at various residential and
commercial brokerages, eventually partnering with Sheryl
Chinowth to form Chinowth & Cohen Realtors®, as well as
C&C Commercial Realtors®. Currently, Lee is active in GTAR’s
REALTORS® Commercial Alliance (RCA), Legislative, and
RPAC Committees. Lee is licensed in Oklahoma and Florida.
Ryan Coulter
Ryan is a principal partner of NAI Commercial
Properties. He is a third generation real estate
broker in Tulsa. His father, Mike Coulter, and
grandfather, Earl Coulter, both helped to
shape him into the hard working professional
that he is today. Much like his father and
grandfather, Ryan works primarily in the
sale and leasing of industrial and commercial buildings. Prior to
working for NAI Commercial Properties, Ryan worked as a litigation
attorney in Tulsa concentrating his practice on real estate and
construction law. Ryan attended Metro Christian Academy and
then attended college and law school at the University of Tulsa.
Ryan is an active in his church and spends his time volunteering
for organizations like the Tulsa Young Professionals where
he has served as the crew leader of Business Development.

Bud Engstrom
This year GTAR recognized Bud for 30
years of membership. He currently is
serving his seventh term as Chairman of
the Oklahoma Real Estate Commission’s
(OREC) Education Advisory Committee
and is his sixth year as a member of the
OREC’s Contract Forms Committee. He is
also the Director of Career Development for Chinowth & Cohen
Realtors®. In 1998, the Governor appointed Bud as Commissioner,
and Senate confirmation followed in 1999; he was elected
chairman in 2001. During his second term as Commissioner, he
was also elected and served on the OAR’s Board of Directors.
Bud is a member of the REALTOR®’s National Marketing
Institute and has received their designation as a Certified Real
Estate Brokerage Manager (CRB) and the Residential Sales
Council’s designation as a Certified Residential Specialist
(CRS); he is also a past president of the Oklahoma CRS Chapter.
He has served on the Real Estate Advisory committee of Tulsa
Community College and lectured as an adjunct professor at
Oral Roberts University. In 2008, he also served as a subject
matter expert for two national real estate exam providers.
Rodger Erker
A native of St. Louis, Missouri, Rodger
received his Missouri Broker’s License in
1964. He became active in the Tulsa real
estate market in 1972 and became a partner
with McGraw Breckinridge REALTORS® in
1974. He owned Rodger Erker REALTORS®
from 1984 until 2003 when he sold his
firm to McGraw, REALTORS® where he is currently the Managing
Broker of the Yale office. He received the CRB designation in
1986. Rodger has chaired and been a member of numerous GTAR
and OAR committees; he served as GTAR president in 1989, as
OAR president in 1994, and was Regional Vice-President of NAR
in 1996. In 1997, Rodger was OAR REALTOR® of the Year and in
1998 he was GTAR REALTOR® of the Year. In 2003, he was awarded
a Life Membership in OAR. Rodger was appointed by the mayor
as a member of the Tulsa Preservation Commission. He has
served as president of the Tulsa and Oklahoma Mental Health
Associations and was a Board member at Parkside Hospital.
Rodger serves as a National Director of the American Diabetes
Association Research Foundation Board and is past Chairman
of the Tulsa Chapter of the American Diabetes Association.
Pete Galbraith
In 1995, Pete went to work for Terry
Gartside, REALTORS® where he served as
vice president overseeing the operations
of the Sand Springs and Sapulpa offices. In
2000, Pete was the recipient of the Sapulpa
Main Street Economic Development award
for his work on the Collin’s Ballroom and the
renovation of the Berryhill building into 32 units of affordable
senior housing. Last year Pete served as a lead on the merger
of Terry Gartside REALTORS®, Coldwell Banker RaderGroup, and
Marolyn Prior REALTORS® merging all three companies to form the
newly branded Coldwell Banker Select where he serves as their
President of Sales. He currently serves on the Oklahoma Real
Estate Commission (OREC), and is Past President of Northeast
Oklahoma Real Estate Services (NORES). He is the Sapulpa Chamber
of Commerce past president, a Sapulpa Main Street member of
the year, past president of the Sapulpa Rotary Club, and a past
board member and graduate of Leadership Oklahoma class XIII
(13). Pete holds a degree from Southern Nazarene University.
Mike Haley
A lifelong Tulsan and an OSU Psychology
graduate, Mike, President of Patterson,
REALTORS®, has been licensed for over 30
years. He has maintained his Certified Real
Estate Broker Manager (CRB) designation and
Real Property Administrator (RPA) designation
for many years, and recently continued his
education by becoming a Certified Short Sale Professional (CSP).
Mike previously served two terms as Treasurer of the GTAR Board
of Directors and currently serves on GTAR’s Professional Standards
Committee.
Kenny Tate
Kenny began his real estate career in January
of 1992 with Montie Box, REALTORS® in Sand
Springs. He affiliated with Coldwell Banker
RaderGroup after they merged with Montie
Box, REALTORS® in 1996. In 1997, Kenny
earned his Broker’s license and became a
manager for Coldwell Banker RaderGroup.
In January of 2009, Kenny affiliated with McGraw, REALTORS® and
helped the company open their newest office in Sand Springs.
Kenny has served GTAR and NORES by working on numerous
committees, having chaired both the Sales Associates Committee
and the Standard Forms Committee. Kenny is also very active
in the Sand Springs community having served his Rotary
Club as President. He is also a past president of the Chamber
of Commerce and the Sand Springs Education Foundation.

Sheryl Chinowth
Sheryl Chinowth is the CEO, Broker, and
Co-Owner of Chinowth & Cohen Realtors®.
During her 31 year career in real estate,
she has excelled in sales, management,
training, and motivational speaking. Sheryl
received the Women of Achievement
Award from the Oklahoma Business and
Professional Women’s League (2005), Influential Woman Award
from the Tulsa Business Journal (2005), and the Women in
Business Champion of the Year Award from the Tulsa Chamber
of Commerce (2006). Sheryl has been involved in multiple task
forces and committees with two different MLS Boards. In 2007,
she was elected to the GTAR Board of Directors. She is currently
a member of the national Real Trends Leadership Council, the
Executive Women’s Federation, and sits on the OAR Board of
Directors (2008-2009). Previously, Sheryl served on the Junior
League Board of Directors in Illinois, where she worked to bring
together local hospitals and the American Cancer Society to
establish the first Cancer Information Center in Southern Illinois.
Working as Chairman of the Business and Education Committee
with the Riverbend Chamber of Commerce and as one of 35 Top
Business Professionals to the Riverbend Educators and Business
Professionals Board, Sheryl helped partner with the local police
department to put a child safety awareness program called Officer
Friendly in the public schools and St. Louis University to get the
Parents as Teachers Program established in the Public Schools.
Mick Corbin
Mick is a Broker Associate with Keller
Williams Realty in Claremore. He was a
former partner of First Team Real Estate,
a RE/MAX franchise owner and trainer, and
president of Advantage 2000 Real Estate. He
served as coordinator and consultant for the
Rogers County Real Estate Investors group.
Mick has served on the GTAR Sales Associate Committee and is
currently serving on the Professional Standards Committee.
Mick is a Consumer Certified Real Estate Consultant (C-CREC).
Mike Lester
Since 1977, Mike has been the owner
of Lester and Associates, a commercial
general contractor, as well as commercial
real estate brokerage. Mike obtained his
real estate license in 1984 and has been a
member of GTAR since that time. He has
served on the GTAR Board of Directors and numerous GTAR
committees including Urban Affairs (Chairman), Public Relations,
and Building. Mike has served in various leadership positions for
Union Schools and the city of Broken Arrow for a number of years,
including Union Board of Education, as well as President of their
Education Foundation. He has served on Broken Arrow’s Board
of Adjustment, Planning Commission, and several Committees of
the Broken Arrow Chamber of Commerce. Mike is currently on the
Broken Arrow City Council, as well as the Broken Arrow Civitans.
Alysia McFeely
Alysia has been involved in many aspects
of the real estate industry since 1983. She
holds her Real Estate Broker’s license in
Oklahoma, Colorado, and Texas. She moved
to Tulsa in 2002, and has been very involved
in the real estate industry in Oklahoma. She
is currently serving as the GTAR Affiliate
Committee Chair and on the GTAR Program Committee. Other
recent activity involvement includes: President of the National
Association of Professional Mortgage Women (NAPMW), Tulsa
Home Builders Association (HBA) Sales and Marketing Board,
Women’s Council of REALTORS® (WCR) board in Tulsa and
Phoenix/Scottsdale, Scottsdale Association of REALTORS® (SAAR),
and West Maricopa County Regional Association of Realtors®
(WEMAR). Alysia worked for First American Corporation as the
New Business Development Director in their Title division and
Area Manager in their Home Warranty Division, Grubb & Ellis Director of Marketing in their Facilities Management Organization,
Coldwell Banker/American Spectrum - Commercial Broker, R&B
Development Company - General Manager/Regional Training
Director/Leasing Consultant of a commercial real estate portfolio,
as well as being President and Founder of Obeo Oklahoma.

Director Requirements
Nomination by Petition
There shall not be more than two members nominated from a
member firm for the office of Director.
Additional candidates for directorships may be placed in
nomination by a petition signed by not less than twentyfive (25) of the voting members in good standing, provided
that such petition shall be filed with the Chairman of the
Nominating Committee or the Chief Executive Officer not less
than twenty (20) days prior to the date of the annual meeting.
The Nominating Committee shall email or publish a list of
nominees by petition to the voting members not less than
fifteen (15) days in advance of the annual meeting.
Absentee Ballots
Any voting member who is unable to attend the annual meeting
may, upon written request to the Chief Executive Officer, obtain
an absentee ballot at the GTAR office which, to be counted,
must be deposited with the Chief Executive Officer prior to the
annual meeting.

Julie LaBrecque
Julie has been the Managing Broker
of Bristow’s Root 66 Real Estate since
September 2004, after having acquired Root
Properties, where she had been licensed
since 1998. Julie currently serves on the
Bristow Chamber of Commerce Housing
Committee, is a current member and
former officer of the Bristow All-Sports Club, and has served
five years on the Board of The Bristow Education Foundation.
Peter Parker
Michael Urie
Michael Urie is the Owner/Broker of Solid
Rock, REALTORS®, where he is a managing
and producing broker. Michael has been
in real estate since 2002, starting at
McGraw, and trained by the late Judy
Wiggs. Michael is a Leadership OAR
graduate and was recently featured as a
semi-finalist in REALTOR® Magazine's "30 under 30" feature.
Michael serves Rogers County as the current President of
the Rogers County Real Estate Association—an association of
REALTORS® and affiliates for the betterment of Rogers county.
Peter has been involved in the real estate industry since 1974. He acquired his Brokers license in 1980, and
has been very involved in every aspect of the business from sales and management to remodeling and new
construction. Peter also is active in the commercial real estate field and leasing in the Midtown district. He is
currently the principal Broker of Parker and Associates specializing in residential and commercial real estate.

NORES Board of Directors
Directors approved the following:
• Proposed changes to Article VIII, Section 2 and 3 and
Article X, Section 4.3 of the NORES Bylaws. To view the
proposed changes, log on to tulsarealtors.com; on the
main Member Services page, click the Member Resources
tab, then click Governing Documents, then Proposed
NORES Bylaws.
• A policy regarding modifying the selling associate in a
team situation. New policy “Requests to modify selling
associates will be done if NORES staff is notified within
180 days of the closed date.”
• Working with Gumiyo to provide mobile Web listings to
users at no cost to NORES.
• The slate of nominees for the 2010-2011 NORES
Directors.

Offered by the Tulsa Area Housing Partnership, the
training will include an overview of the rights and
obligations of landlords and tenants and the specifics
of Oklahoma Landlord Tenant Law and a discussion of
fair housing law with a panel of experts; foucs will then
shift to a discussion of reasonable accommodations and
modifications. The seminar will conclude with a general
question and answer session presented by a panel of
Tulsa Area Fair Housing Partnership representatives.
