VTSTM Transition Curriculum
The VTSTM Transition Curriculum is a tool to improve the soft skills needed in today’s work setting. VTS started research with the goal of producing a curriculum that meets the needs of schools, adult work facilities, and the independent work
place. Soft skills are a concern for employers. Some important soft skills to emphasize are problem-solving, the ability to start
work independently, to stay on task, to finish properly, to understand work rewards, to accept change, and to restart independently.
The VTSTM Transition Curriculum provides the tools to challenge and improve these skills. VTSTM Transition Curriculum is a great way for teachers and staff to teach students hands-on. The ability to change the schedule, manipulate the
work and reward good work gives the teachers and staff the ability to challenge.
The VTSTM Daily Schedule Board is the center piece of the curriculum. This allows students to see the work assigned for the day so they can learn to start work independently. After completion and grading of their work, the student continues with the next scheduled work task. We have the ability to customize each curriculum we sell with the school’s name,
adding identifiers to names, and special order cards.

Work Rewards - payment or points the student can earn for work tasks completed. Each Work Task has a slip so the individual sees the value of their efforts. The Daily Log tracks the balance.

VTS Work Tasks are designed for students. Each task can be manipulated to work with every level of ability. Item
numbers reflect the level of difficulty (i.e. L202 - level 2). Level five tasks can be simplified for students having trouble.
Level two through five tasks can be adjusted to add challenge. Each task includes instructions and suggestions on

VTSTM Full Use Software
VTSTM Full Use Software is designed and used with the D drive. The student simply inserts the disk and the
menu will automatically start. VTS draws from the different classroom activities we offer to create this software.
All titles are similar in operation for the student to quickly learn. VTS never charges a licensing fee and the disk
can be copied multiple times. Teachers are encouraged to make copies for students to use at home. This is truly
Full Use Software! All software requires minimum system requirements of Windows 98.

Signs
Signs software contains 80 signs-indoor, outdoor and at the work
place. Two options are “name the
sign,” where students match the
correct sign to the word given.
The second asks the student to
select the correct sign from the
three presented. Signs curriculum

Money Box
Students will be asked to select
the correct coin from three, using

Student will go shopping with printed store boards.
Tasks include pricing at the grocery store, to figuring
the total of a shopping list. Simple to use, students
will be able to focus on prices and how much money
they have to spend.
Lets Go Shopping includes two sets of three store
boards, grocery, variety and hardware. Also, 59 activity worksheets and 20 different in-class individual
and group activities.
