Pretreat your Cuddle fabric: to prevent too much fuzz and lint, let your Cuddle strips take a spin in the dryer with a damp
towel for about 10 minutes. This will remove all excess fibers.

Cuddle strips in measurements from below
Sewing machine
Thread
Regular needle or stretch/knit needle
Cutting mat
Rotary cutter
Lip edge ruler
Straight pins
Hand sewing needle
Seam allowance: 3/8” unless stated otherwise
For the featured scarf you will need 2 strips of Cuddle. See the sizing chart below to cut your pieces:
SIZE
Kids
Adults
Cut 2 - Length x width
30” x

36” x

These are the 2 Cuddle fabric strips you have cut out:
Place both strips with right sides together and pin, then sew along dashed line:
Serge/zigzag stitch raw edge (this helps eliminate some fuzz):
3
Turn piece with right sides out:
Bring the open ends together in the middle:
Grab the bottom corner of both sides as shown:
4
Pin both sides of one fabric side along dashed line:
Insert scarf into your machine with only the pinned material. Leave the other two sides pushed aside to the left. Sew the
pinned area along dashed line:
5
Now you have the other two prints as shown:
Fold opening closed by tucking in both sides. Hand stitch opening closed. You can use a slip stitch to close the
opening which is almost invisible.
6
To make the slip stitch, simply thread your needle and tie a knot at one end.
Hold your opening in one hand, working from right to left and bring the needle and thread through one folded
edge. Going in on the opposite side catch 1 or 2 threads, then bring the needle back into the fold and slip about
1/4" of material onto the needle before bringing it back out again along the same edge. Continue until seam is
finished. Stitch in place several times to secure thread. Cut off thread closely to fabric.
