Following completion of this course, the participant will clearly understand who are candidates for this revolutionary new treatment modality for valvular heart disease. A live case presentation of a valve implant will illustrate the technical aspects of the procedure as well as the potential pitfalls and advantages of new catheter-based valve therapies. AT THE CONCLUSION OF THIS ACTIVITY PARTICIPANTS SHOULD BE ABLE TO: 1. Identify the current treatment options for patients with severe aortic stenosis. 2. Review patient selection process for transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR). 3.
