January 2008. www.2700northocean.com 8 RENOWNED VIEWS AND VISION DESIGNERS AS YOU’VE NEVER SEEN THEM BEFORE Each January, the American Red Cross Greater Palm Beach Chapter hosts a Designers’ Show House, a multi-week engagement featuring prominent designers who come together to furnish a distinctive home, room by room. The Designers’ Show House appeals to an affluent base of Palm Beach County residents, including a prominent pool of American Red Cross donors. In recent years, the Show House has drawn 6,000 – 7,000 patrons, launched with a preview party targeting generous and major donors. This year, Catalfumo has offered 2700 North Ocean as home for the 2008 Designers’ Show House. Located on Singer Island, the coastal barrier island located just North of Palm Beach, 2700 North Ocean features ocean and Intracoastal views from every residence. The project consists of two 27-story tower residences on nearly nine acres – 375 feet – of the coast’s most beautiful beachfront. By combining the power of The American Red Cross brand, the draw of its donors, and the grandeur and oceanfront location of 2700 North Ocean, the 2008 Designers Show House holds the potential to double or triple patronage. The centerpiece for marketing this experience will be a $1.5 million media buy in many of today’s most celebrated design and lifestyle publications including: Architectural Digest, Elle Décor, Vogue Living, Men’s Vogue, Elite Traveler, Coastal Living, Conde Naste Traveler/Portfolio and Town and Country. Each of these magazines will supply a “celebrity” designer – eight internationally-recognized names and the top designers today. Moveover, the media buy includes prominent cover stories in five additional high profile design magazines including Casa Y Estilo, Unique Homes, Ocean Home, Stratos Magazine and Florida Travel & Life. 2700 North Ocean will offer unparalleled luxury living with concierge-serviced residence homes that range from $1.6 million to $5 million. Amenities that set the address apart from others include: valet parking and grand porte-cochere, grand lobby with breathtaking oceanviews, a theatre room with cinema style seating, a state-of-the-art fitness center, tropical landscape pool deck, free-form infinity and lap pools overlooking the beach, whirlpool spas, a poolside bar & grille, and more. EIGHT EXCLUSIVE DESIGNER APPOINTED RESIDENCES Catalfumo is currently in negotiation to bring the following highly-respected design icons to 2700 North Ocean. Each designer will take on one entire unit to appoint and furnish these oceanfront residences with the grace and vision that has made them a household name. Scott Snyder - Architectural Digest Christopher Coleman - Elle Décor Creative solutions fueled by an imaginative drive underscore the work of interior designer Christopher Coleman. Cited by House Beautiful in its “Top 100 Designers” every year since 1999, this Brooklyn-based designer believes that everyone deserves good design, regardless of budget, and he knows how to achieve it. Lulu deKwiatkowski - Vogue Living Lulu deKwiatkowski is the founder and chief designer of Lulu DK Fabrics, a New York City based fabric and wallpaper company that merges the artistry and craftsmanship of the old world with the youthful modernity of the new. Lulu's sometimes whimsical creations lend a fresh feeling to interiors without sacrificing their classic foundation. A graduate of the Parsons School of Design in New York, with a degree in fine arts and interior design, Lulu studied trompe l’oeil in Paris, and traveled extensively throughout India, Morocco, Italy, and Peru, collecting inspiration from rich colors paired with earthy tones and geometric patterns. Thomas O’Brien - Men’s Vogue Based in New York City’s downtown SoHo arts neighborhood, Thomas O’Brien divides his design practice among three areas: creating interiors for select clients—both residential and commercial; running his own store, Aero; and designing a wide range of products for the home, including a growing range of national product partnerships through the Thomas O’Brien™ label. Central to O’Brien’s design philosophy is the coupling of different eras and themes, funneled through a distinctive filter of modernism. Twentieth century to traditional, elegant to casual, practical to fanciful: all work in combination rather than isolation. David Linley - Elite Traveler David Linley trained at Parnham House, has become known for its imaginative use of wood in the design of furniture, using a balance of traditional and modern techniques to achieve the best possible result whether for an individual piece or an entire fitted room. Over the years, LINLEY has built up both a national and international presence with a quarter of its customer base from overseas. Most recently LINLEY has undertaken a bespoke project to create a limited edition series of beautifully crafted trays for arguably the world’s most prestigious champagne brand KRUG. Clients include Oprah Winfrey, Carolina Herrera, Jo Malone, David Tang and many exceptional designers such as Peter Marino, David Easton, Kelly Hoppen, Joanna Wood and Nina Campbell. Celerie Kemble - Coastal Living Celerie Kemble, Harvard-educated New Yorker and Palm Beach native, has her finger on the pulse of cosmopolitan style. Her style has led to frequent features in fashion and style magazines, including Vogue, W, Vanity Fair, InStyle Home, Elle Décor, House Beautiful, House & Garden, Harper’s Bazaar and Lucky. Celerie’s approach to design has placed her on House Beautiful’s list of Top 100 Designers for the past four years, as well as a contributor offering advice and insight into the evolving style of contemporary design. Her line of furnishings, Celerie for Laneventure, introduced her metropolitan style to the home furnishings industry with unique designs that reflect a hip, urban lifestyle TBD - Conde Naste Traveler/Portfolio Victoria Hagan - Town and Country Victoria Hagan is one of the country’s leading interior designers. This past year she was named “Furniture Designer of the Year” by Elle Décor magazine. She is continually featured in such publications as Architectural Digest, New York magazine, Elle Décor, Traditional Home, W, Town and Country, Harper’s Bazaar and House Beautiful.
