DESCRIPTION AND CONSTRUCTION MATERIAL
TAILGATE (Part 1)
It contains the waste hopper, packer plate and carriage plate
(devices for transferring waste from the hopper to the body and
their compaction on the wall of the ejector plate).
Metal bearing structure consisting of tubular structural steel Fe
510 B, with side plates in Fe510 B 5 mm thick and 5 mm thick
wear resistant steel HARDOX450 ..
Hopper hardwearing steel HARDOX 500 (minimum hardness
HB500) 6 mm thick.
Tailgate attached to the body with two upper hinges and four
lower hooks, all the pins 40 mm diameter in stainless C45.
Tailgate locking to the structure of the body, in the closed
position, in such a way as to ensure thrust resistance of the
compaction system, well as the watertight integrity between
tailgate and body.
Tailgate opening for unloading through N.2 side hydraulic rams
not interfering with the trajectory of waste unloading, tailgate
opening angle 90°, which does not obstruct the release of waste
during unloading.
Tailgate with red safety prop, on the left side, that keeps
opening in the maintenance phase.
The tailgate is provided with an opening guide plate to facilitate unloading of satellite vehicles or manual loading of the
waste.
Height of rave rail with guide plate raised about 1600 mm, with guide plate lowered about 1400 mm.
Sewage discharge valve 2" for leachate drainage.
BODY (Part 2)
High yield strength supporting structure made of tubular rectangle in Fe 510 B.
Base area HARDOX400 wear steel (Hardness HB400) 4 mm thick,
Smooth curved side walls, 4 mm thick in Fe 510 B
Plates containing slurry and roof watertight welded 4 mm thickness in Fe510 B.
Sewage discharge valve for 2".
All welds are performed in a workmanlike manner so as to ensure a perfect seal and in compliance with UNI EN ISO 38344:2006: Quality requirements for fusion welding of metallic materials.
Connection with watertight tailgate, fitted with triangular gasket, which can be replaced easily and fast and guarantees the
perfect seal both in working phase and while transferring the vehicle.
Body with 2 front access openings for maintenance and cleaning, 1.000 X 1.100 mm.

SYSTEM DESCRIPTION OF ARTICULATED SINGLE PACKER PLATE COMPACTION (PACKER PLATE + CARRIAGE
PLATE)
Shovel and carriage plate convey the material to the ejector plate.
This latter is moved by a telescopic ram, it is controlled by a pre calibrated valve in such a way as to ensure the backpressure
in the compaction stage.
The compacting unit is guided by a pair of connecting rods are hinged on the packer plate on one side and on the tailgate on
the other side and by a pair of rectilinear guides where translation the carriage plate skate.

The movement of the packer plate and carriage plate is
transmitted by 4 double effect hydraulic cylinder.
All cylinders are actuated by hydraulic distributor

Time required to perform a compaction cycle of 30 seconds.
The movement of packet plate and carriage plate does not interfere with lifting device.
The tailgate and the devices of the compaction group in contact with the waste are all in anti-wear steel HARDOX.
The compaction functions and safety devices are managed by a single electronic control unit unit that has continuous control
of the various job functions.

OPERATING SYSTEMS
The equipment is equipped with a device for automatic adjustment of the motor speed which allows, with the insertion of
the PTO, the automatic attainment of the correct scheme of the engine vehicle rotation and, at the same time, the
cancellation of the effect possible action on the accelerator pedal in the cab.
Implants are made in such a way that the various operational elements do not exceed the limits established by the peripheral
speed of the EN 1501.
CYCLES OF COMPACTION
1 - Transfers of waste by tipping waste container or manual loading
2 - Descent Carriage plate with open blade (1st compression waste on the hopper).
3 - Blade lock for rotation (2nd compression waste on the hopper)
4 - Ascent Carriage plate with Packer plate closed (loading the material into the hopper and 3rd compression compaction of
rejection towards the wall of the ejector plate)
The guide skate of packer plate and carriage plate are made of hardened c45, resistant to creep.
The electro-hydraulic system of operation of the equipment is controlled from a control panel on the outer right side of the
tailgate, the hydraulic pump with PTO gearbox is inserted from the cabin.

UNLOADING OF THE BODY
Unloading from the back side after lifting of the tailgate, system built with the best structural characteristics, made to
withstand, without deformation, all the stresses of the various work phases.
Material ejected from the movable wall sliding inside the body called Ejector Plate
Ejector plate moved by hydraulic telescopic cylinder double acting, with extensions lapped and chromates, controlled by
valve pre-calibrated to ensure against pressure during compaction, sliding on two lateral guides, coupled via four sliding
blocks self-lubricating plastic material special antacid and wear NYLATRON PA6GMN.
Ejector plate made of metal structural for support all stresses of compaction and unloading, it is consisting of structural steel
tubular 4 mm thick Fe510B with sheet metal cover thickness 3 mm in Fe510 B and hardox400.
The ejector plate sticks out rearward beyond the profile of the body of 100 mm.
The ejector plate, even in the presence of an eccentric action, does not change its perpendicularity respect the longitudinal
axis of the body and it absorbs transverse stresses, preventing the flexion on the stem of the sliding ram.
The slide rails of the plate prevents the accumulation zones of rejection.
The sliding supports are long lasting and easy to replace.
Unloading time of the full body is about 120 sec.
GEOMETRIC INTERFERENCE BETWEEN THE ELEMENTS OF DIFFERENT OPERATING SYSTEMS.

• Compaction device and system lifting device / container during emptying.
• Lifting device and rear footboards.
• Device eject waste and rear door.

HYDRAULIC SYSTEM
The plumbing is carried out in accordance with the UNI EN ISO 4413:2012Hydraulic fluid power
– General rules and safety requirements for systems and their components The pressure is originated by 2 pumps driven by PTO on the gearbox
applied: by PTO gearbox that manages the power taken from the engine
of the vehicle is driven a hydraulic gear pump or vane which operates the
compaction systems, a further dedicated pump drives the functions
and discharge lifting device.
Hydraulic circuit consists of galvanized steel tubes and hoses model 4SH and R2T.
The ACILITIES equipped with pressure relief valves, safety valves, and pressure control devices.
The pump and PTO are produced and marketed by a leading European company.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
The electrical system is realized accordance with the rules 2006/95/EC and 2004/108/EC
The electrical system has a degree of protection IP65 and is designed to be easily accessible for inspection and maintenance,
and it is made airtight.
The electrical system of the equipment is separate from the electrical system of chassis and is sectioned by the main switch.
All the control elements have appropriate arrangements for protection against ingress of water and dust.
With every facility is provided clear and detailed wiring diagram.
The vehicle has all the warning signs and lighting prescribed by the rules of the road.
The lighting fixtures are visible in any operational framework of the vehicle (excluding the steps of discharge of waste).
The vehicle is provided with:
- Repeat rear lights.
- Two yellow flashing beacon (front and rear operated from the cab).
- White light beacon adjustable applied over the tailgate to be used during night work,
is protected against shocks and installed in an area of not getting in the way.

PNEUMATIC SYSTEM
The pneumatic system installed on the compactor is fed from the compressor of the vehicle and allows the
insertion of the PTO, the moving of lifting device and accessories type dust suppression.
This circuit is structured in such a way as not to produce pressure drop that may penalize the plant the production
of compressed air of the chassis in relation to their own services of the chassis the same as prescribed by UNI EN
ISO 4414:2012 Pneumatics - General Rules and safety requirements for systems and their components.

PROFILE MOTOR VEHICLE
