Adventure Sports Center International – ASCI, Maryland
Adventure Sports Center International
is an Olympic standard white water
rafting and canoe/kayak slalom center
located on the mountaintop above
the Wisp Ski Resort at Deep Creek
Lake, McHenry, Maryland, USA.
In addition to serving as a venue for
slalom races and training, the center
offers a range of services to the
general public including guided raft
trips, inflatable kayak rentals, and
riverboard rentals.

The U.S. National Whitewater Center is a
non-profit outdoor recreation and athletic
training facility for whitewater rafting,
kayaking, canoeing, rock climbing,
mountain biking and hiking which opened
to the public on November 4th, 2006. The
Center is located in Charlotte on
approximately 400 acres (1.6 km2) of land
adjacent to the Catawba River. The USNWC
is an official Olympic Training Site for
whitewater slalom racing.

Enjoy white water rafting in downtown
South Bend on Niles Avenue. All
equipment is provided. Rubber soled
shoes with heel strap are required, no flipflops and no sharp jewelry or objects may
be worn. Prepare to get wet! Required
height for rafting is 54”. Children under the
age of 16 must be accompanied by an
adult in the raft.

Construction: $1.5 million in 2003
Length: 1,400 feet
Difficulty is Class II-III
Economic Impact: $30 million a year
Difficulty Level: Designed for kayaks, rafts, canoes and inner tubes. Accessible to all level of enthusiasts.
Since its opening Reno has hosted a three day River Festival each year which brings in over 23k visitors and
in the past ten years has had a $30 million dollar economic impact on Reno and its businesses.
Cascade, Idaho
Kelly’s Whitewater Park
Construction: $1.47 million in 2010
Length: 1,800 feet
Difficulty is Class II-III
Economic Impact: $8.2 million a year
According to the governor of Idaho the park saw 15,000 visitors in its first six weeks of opening alone.
Since its construction is has already hosted the National Whitewater Freestyle championships two years in
a row bringing in over 5,000 visitors for each competition
