Smart Thermo Control
Several Myson Towel Warmers utilize the
Smart Thermo Control heating element
self-regulating, programmed
temperature control. When it reaches
the required temperature, power
consumption is reduced, saving up to
35% in energy. This technology
eliminates the need for a thermostat,
as the temperature rises evenly and
stays constant once the temperature is
reached. The element accepts power
input from 75 to 250 VAC and
maintains operating temperature
(approximately 140°F) providing accurate
temperature control.

Q How warm is a Towel Warmer?
A Towel Warmers are the ultimate comfort item. You can live

Q What is the difference between Electric and Hydronic?
A The electric models are self-contained, mineral oil-filled units
that have a low wattage electric heating element that heats the
oil. Depending on your electricity rates, it will cost you between
25 and 60 cents per day if the towel warmer runs continuously.
Myson also offers a 24-hour programmable timer for their
Electric Towel Warmer models. Depending upon the model,
Hydronic (hot water) models use the hot water from either your
domestic hot water heater or your hydronic heating system to
warm towels. All Hydronic Towel Warmer systems require the
use of a circulating pump. Hydronic Towel Warmers are easily
controlled by timers or thermostats wired to switch the
circulating pump on or off.
Q What accessories do I need when I purchase a
Towel Warmer?
A Accessories necessary to install the Towel Warmer come in the
box including the Wire Encasement Kit, the Valves and Sleeve
Kit and the matching screws. We do have optional accessories
such as 24-hour programmable timers. There are other
accessories that are specifically designed for particular products.

Q Can I use a Towel Warmer as the only source of heat
for my bathroom?
A Some Towel Warmers are large enough to heat a bathroom.
Care should be taken to pick the right size. You should consult
your heating specialist for the correct Towel Warmer size
needed to heat your room.

Q What do I need to do to prepare for installation of my
Towel Warmer?
A While it is not mandatory, safe building practices call for some
kind of blocking material to be placed in the wall behind the
mounting points of your Towel Warmer. Electric Towel Warmers
will need a 120V line to connect the electrical box. U.S. codes
dictate that bathroom circuits must be protected by a GFI
circuit. Electrical codes place some limits on where a Towel
Warmer can be installed in relation to the tub or shower.
It is best to check with your contractor on this.
There are no electrical restrictions on the placement of a
Hydronic Towel Warmer, so they are ideal for placement on
the deck of a jetted tub or at the end of a walk-in shower.
Hydronic Towel Warmers need a hot water supply connected to
and from the hot water source. A pump in the circulating loop
controls the flow of water through the Towel Warmer.

Myson warrants your Towel Warmer for a Full Five Years against
the following manufacturing defects:
1. Myson warrants the plated or painted finish of your Towel
Warmer to be free of manufacturing defects for five years from
the date of installation. This means your Towel Warmer finish
will not crack, split, peel or flake from the surface of the rails.
2. Myson warrants the brazed connections and the tubing of your
Towel Warmer to be free from leaks for five full years from the
date of installation.
