Ms. Janet Van Bergen, founder of CITYTECH, Inc., an IT consultancy in Chicago, has over 17 years of
experience within the technology industry. She has sold and marketed electronic components for cellular
phones, statistical software, AS/400 systems management software, enterprise resource planning systems
(ERP), application integration services and custom software development. As President of CITYTECH, Inc.,
she successfully bridges the communication gap between technical and business professionals. She strives to
recruit top IT talent to ensure that CITYTECH consultants are the best in their field. Since 2003, Ms. Van
Bergen has led CITYTECH from 2 to 30 employees and created a viable business by providing a superior
service, innovation and value to clients in both public and private sectors.
Mr. Richard Dent was an All-Pro defensive end for the Chicago Bears and a member of the 1985 NFL
Champions. He was selected the MVP of Super Bowl XX, and continues to be the Bears all-time sacks leader.
After a long and successful NFL career, Mr. Dent became partner of First Communications, a
telecommunications company that is one of the leading providers of integrated voice, data, and Internet based
solutions aimed at helping growing businesses compete more effectively online in the 21st century.
Mr. Dent brings the same competitive desire and work ethic he exhibited on the gridiron to his own consulting

Ms. Leticia Peralta Davis is Co-Founder of Peralta Garcia Solutions, a premier financial and management

Dr. Willie Wilson, Chicago philanthropist and successful entrepreneur and community leader is the founder
and President of Willie Wilson Productions and the Executive Producer of Singsation!, a nationally televised

He is also the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Omar Medical Supplies, Inc., one of America’s fastest

MODERATOR PROFILE
Ms. Freida Curry is the Director of the Illinois Procurement Technical Assistance Center (PTAC) at the
Women’s Business Development Center (WBDC). In this role, Ms. Curry assists business owners with the
process of finding, bidding for, and winning contracts with local, state and/or federal government agencies. Ms
Curry has a rich history of assisting small business owners in the various stages of starting, growing, and
funding their business ventures. In previous positions, she was the Entrepreneurship Director at The Chicago
Urban League; and the Director of the Illinois Small Business Development Center at the University of Illinois
at Chicago. Ms. Curry is also the previous owner of Freida Curry & Associates, a small business consulting
and training firm; and I AM Records, a recording label; and was a VP in Account Services at Burrell
Advertising.
