Here’s the Buzz on Mosquitos and West Nile Virus West Nile Virus (“WNV”) is in most of the United States. Your staff is working alongside Will County Health Dept. and Clarke Mosquito Control to prevent the transmission of WNV in our community. For those of you concerned about the Zika virus, visit the Will County Health Department website at willcountyillinois.com. Be assured that your Village is working to limit the mosquito population in our community by distributing larvicide in all storm water inlets and stocking storm water ponds with fish that eat mosquito larvae. In addition, Clarke performs monthly inspections and applies larvicide as needed in “hot spots”. We urge you to take precautions to prevent mosquito bites by following the helpful tips below: If you haven’t visited Downtown Mokena lately, make a point of stopping in at parker james located at 11028 Front Street. parker james is the “older sister” of Pink Slip and offers comtemporary readyto-wear boutique collections, accessories, home decor and gifts.
