DEPOSITS All weddings and major functions require a deposit of 10% or $1000 whichever is greater to secure the date and location. Smaller functions also require a deposit to be paid however the amount may be less and dependent upon event/function size. If deposit is not paid your booking is not secure. All deposits are not refundable or transferrable. FINAL PAYMENT Final Payment is to be received no later than 7 days prior to an event. Cornucopia Museum Café reserve the right to cancel an event if payment is not received 7 days prior to an event. Additional costs for late increase in numbers or breakages etc. are to be paid for on completion of event. We would also require as a deposit/security your credit card details which will be destroyed or returned once we have received payment in full. Payments by credit card will receive a 1.5% surcharge. EVENT CATERING Cornucopia Museum Café reserves the right to provide all catering for functions and events held on premises. No food or beverages are allowed unless prior arrangement has been made with management. MEETINGS Weddings which require more than 3 meetings to organise will be charged at a rate of $200/hour from the 4th meeting onwards. Corporate functions that require more than 2 meetings will be charged at a rate of $200/hour from the 3rd meeting onwards. ACCESS TO GROUNDS/PREMISES The museum maintains a high level of security and as such event planners must liaise with Cornucopia Museum Café and in particular our events co-ordinator for access times prior to function. PRICES All quotes and prices may be subject to price increases if we experience increases in wholesale prices. These increases are unlikely and if occur will be minimal, however we are subject to price increases like any other businesses. A minimum of days’ notice will be given of any increases. SET UP AND PACK UP OF EVENT Please ensure that deliveries for events are NOT between 1130 am – 230 pm. The packing up of event equipment other than that hired/used in relation to Cornucopia Museum Café is the responsibility of the event holder. All goods are to be collected the night of an event or the following day BEFORE 11am provided it has been organised and agreed with our event Manager. Cornucopia Museum Café will not be held for any damage or loss of equipment left on premises. 14/15 T erms & conditions CONFIRMATION OF NUMBERS There is a minimum of 50 guests for internal or balcony functions and a minimum of 80 guests for museum lawn / grounds functions. Minimum numbers need to be confirmed 7 days before an event along with payment. Additional numbers must be confirmed 24 hrs. prior to event and must not exceed 15% of minimum numbers. EVENT ORGANISATION Most events can be organised with a few meetings. As Cornucopia Museum Café is busy organising many functions you are encouraged to come to each meeting organised and with as much information as possible. This will ensure ease of organisation and minimise miscommunication. DECORATIONS/EXTRAS Cornucopia Café does not take any responsibility in organising function setup. (Ie. Centrepieces, name cards, entertainment, dance floor, floral arrangements). We suggest you use a wedding organiser/ planner. CAKE With sufficient notice given, we can create your wedding cake. This needs to be organised a minimum of a month prior to your function date. If you wish to bring a cake from a 3rd party, there will be a charge of $2.50 per person. Please note we do not take responsibility of storage or handling. MENU Event menus are to be finalised no later than 2 months from date of event. This will ensure ample time to organise produce and stock availability. Whilst we will endeavour to source all wines and vintages requested for an event, we cannot guarantee availability and will be dependent upon wholesaler’s stock availability. If there are any shortfalls or unavailability of an item we notify and liaise with the client immediately. MUSIC All amplified music is to cease at 11.55 pm and functions are to conclude at 12.00 midnight. CLEANING General cleaning is included in the cost of an event. If an event requires more than general cleaning after an event an additional cost will be incurred. SECURITY Security for an event may be arranged at a cost to the client. Museum security and Cornucopia Museum Café reserve the right to eject from the café or any function held on the grounds of the museum any persons whom are behaving in an unacceptable manner or whom may put at risk any part of or staff of the café or museum. MUSEUM LAWNS Any function held on the lawns will incurs a fee of $400.00. Any private vehicles, limousines, carriages and trucks etc. are NOT permitted on the lawns of the museum. This is not negotiable. No confetti’s or rice to be used on the museum lawns. DUTY OF CARE Whilst all care is taken; before, during and after an event, Cornucopia Museum Café will not be held responsible for an damage or loss of property left on premises. The client accepts full responsibility for any damage to the venue, its equipment or fittings caused by the client, client’s guests or external contractors engaged by the client prior to, during or after an event. 15/15
