A series of chairlifts link Montalbert with all of high altitude La Plagne whilst the Vanoise Express cable car link to Les Arcs has created Paradiski, one of the world’s great ski areas. Montalbert offers a choice of cozy restaurants, good bars a small supermarket and all the ski shops and services one would expect in a ski village. It is a winning combination of village charm linked in to extensive, high altitude skiing.. In summer there are a host of activities on offer including walking, cycling, mountain biking, canoeing, white water rafting and parapenting. Ski resorts such as Val d’Isère, Tignes, La Rosiere, Sainte Foy, Courchevel and Meribel are easily accessible by car as are the lovely tourist towns of Bourg St Maurice, Chambery and Annecy.
