Season’s Greetings!
There has been some discussion in the store recently with everyone wondering
where did 2015 get to? I think we are all wondering what happened to
September, October and November to say the least! Wait … am I living
through Groundhog Day? I am pretty sure I feel and say the same things at
this time every year! No matter whether we can cope with it or not, Christmas is
almost upon us and it will be capping a great year for us in our store. We can
only hope it is doing the same for you too!
I would like to take a moment to thank my awesome Team for their hard work,
loyalty and patience (with me) that they have shown throughout the year!!
I also need to thank, YOU, our wonderful customers for your continued support
and friendship throughout 2015… without you all we could not be the store we
are! We look forward to seeing you in the store next year and continuing to
inspire and nurture your quilting passion!

Wow – what a year!! We can only hope that your year has been as happy and eventful (good) and as exciting as ours has
been. We have achieved a lot in 2015 and we are looking forward to another, even more jammed-packed, fun, inspiring
and exciting year next year!
We will be hosting David Taylor in June, and we are the only store in the whole of Australia who are! We also have the
lovely Esterita Austin visiting from the USA in July teaching her textile art techniques! I have seen first-hand how much
fun these classes with Esterita are.
We have not opened the bookings yet, but will be calling for Expressions of Interest, for Kimmy Brunner, who we will be
hosting in August next year. Kim has been voted Quilting Teacher of the Year, twice, in the USA and she is very excited to
make her first appearance in Western Australia. So, if you are interested in a workshop with Kimmy Brunner then please
reply to this email and put your name on the list. We will send info earl in the New Year on how to book!
It has been a pretty hectic last quarter in the shop, and I really didn’t think I would get this out to you before Christmas! I
have been away to Houston and was inspired by English Paper Piecing and got hooked on Hexies myself (how I resisted
all these years is beyond me) and I even got Helen Godden hooked! If you know Helen, you would know this is truly a
miracle! We are proud to say that we will be the Australian distributor for the Glorious Hexagons BOM for 2016! If you

I had fun catching up with good friends at the International Quilt Festival in Houston, as I do every year. This year,
though, was a little but more exciting because I had discussions with Jamie Wallen and Ricky TIms about coming back to
Perth!! Woohoo! Watch this space because it will be happening! If you missed out on Ricky’s seminar in 2012, then you
won’t want to miss out when he visits again.
Helen Godden and I enjoyed travelling throughout New England, Boston, NYC and surrounds doing our reconnaissance
for our QuiltVenture tour we are taking in 2016. The beautiful Autumn colours, fun in Salem, Massachusetts and
experieincing Haunted Happenings (for Halloween), the bright lights and fast pace of NYC, was all just simply amazing and
we loved every moment and can’t wait to share it with our tour next year. Good news is we are already 2/3 booked! We
only have 7 places left to book on the tour! How would you like to join us in 2016 travelling through the picturesque New

We have loads lined up for you next year. We are accelerating the AccuQuilt classes so that we can reach more people as
we have so many AccuQuilt owners. Once every 6 weeks or so we will be holding a huge club day where you can attend
for a small fee (to cover morning tea etc) and you will get at least 3 FREE project patterns designed by the staff, who will
then go through the process of how to make them including techniques incorporating sewing machines, embroidery,
applique etc, all in conjunction with our AccuQuilt products. Not to be missed, an inspiring and educational class seminar
format and one where you only need to bring yourself and a pen/notepad! 2016 will be an exciting year for AccuQuilt!
Starting with the new QUBE!
Phyllis and Jodi will be bringing you new and interesting classes with machine embroidery and a new, interactive
Software classes. We will also run re-fresher “get to know your machine” classes for those who have purchased
Husqvarna Viking or Singer machines.
Chris and Elinor will be teaching some new classes in 2016 and also their weekly open patchwork classes. I will be hosting
Handi Quilter Club, the new Spellbinders “Hexie” Club, and other various quilting classes and ProStitcher training.
